'real' ? Ugh, you'll fit in just fine.
  2. Best adhesive remover

Zylol and some good gloves. You might want to test an area first.
  3. Using the Nation's Flag in a design.

That's a great response. We use a tag line in our advertising that says "Keeping an eye on your image." That means trying to avoid a faux-pas that they might regret as well as trying to appeal to their entire potential customer base when we can. It's sometimes difficult to view something from...
  4. Using the Nation's Flag in a design.

When used in conjunction with marketing, patriotism always seems like distasteful pandering to me. I think the use of religious symbols or scripture used in conjunction with business marketing of a non religious business feels the same way. Don't have a problem with either, just not with business.
  5. Looking for real world experienced opinions of quality laminator

It's accurate enough that I have never used backing paper. I also think that some people have a harder time than others or understand the process a little more; Ive seen spme people have issues on a machine while others don't.
  6. Looking for real world experienced opinions of quality laminator

I think it is called an AK-600 Anyway it's 63" and it's not a roll to roll model. As far as drift, I can't say that it drifts at all. As long as the print is started perfectly square I think you could go forever. Most of my runs aren't very long, I have probably never run longer than 75' in...
  7. Looking for real world experienced opinions of quality laminator

We bought a US Tech. Might go against the grain but I am super happy with it. If something happened to it I would have another ordered by morning. Can't seem to make it ruin a print.
  8. Can someone please convert this for me asap

Probably a little truth to that.
  9. Unlaminated vinyl prints...how long do they last?

Thick, cheap, calendared vinyl goes down really easy unlaminated with a Gig Squeegee yard tool.
  10. Can someone please convert this for me asap

If you were less of a Di@% in the way that you said it, he might have heard you.
  11. Painting Dibond

Has anyone tried 100% acrylic DTM (direct to metal) paint on die bond? I used it on some galvanized once and thought that it worked our really well. We use oil based for most stuff as well but I think this stuff actually had higher gloss retention numbers if I remember right.
  12. Cheap Vinyl/lam? tell me why not to use it.

There is a place for it all, the trick is realistically knowing when.
  13. Cheap Vinyl/lam? tell me why not to use it.

Shrinkage. I use quite a bit of inexpensive vinyl but I use it for short term work.
  14. MWCoA

    What's the question?
  15. Creating Selections in Photoshop, Part 2, Anti Alias

    Good tutorial. Thanks
  16. What's Your Method For Printing Banners With A White Background?

I run a 1/2pt grey line 1" outside the boundaries of the banner. I like it better than crop marks in case it is a loooong banner. This is my actual cut line not the finish banner dimension. Tape to the edge, fold and go.
  17. Hello New member with ???

Don't make rhinestone shirts. Might be crap advice but it's late so you shouldn't be expecting much.
  18. Wasting time with customers. Need advice.

I give an estimate for the work and take a deposit. On the design I charge actual time spent by the hour. I keep a list of job folders up on one monitor and it has a stopwatch feature that I can click on and off and tracks the time. That includes phone discussions, opening/writing emails...
