you mean the color strip? if so yes i run the color strip. also these particular banners were full coverage blue which has cyan in the mix. if its not a blue heavy banner then the cyan on the color strip lasts much longer, but it does fade eventually

im having inconsistent cyan dropout on my hp 10000s. right now its been dropping out around 10' into a 12' banner, sometimes i make it through ok. after every banner i do a wash printhead for 5 minutes and then a normal cleaning. the iq test always looks perfect afterwards, but then may dropout...

switched around the capping stations from unused heads and have been running the new pumps and everything has been running fine for a few days :covereyes:

triangle we have already been flushing the heads and pulling ink i dont think returning the head is an option UPDATE: we got a full test draw (dont ask how) but now we are once again playing whack a mole with the colors trying to keep them printing. new pump installed, new capping station...

just got a brand new jv5 straight from mimaki. also got all new dampers and data cable. the capping station was replaced recently. we got all the color except the right yellow. nothing seems to work to get it working. ink fills, cleanings, nozzle washes, waste line pulling will occassionally...

ive gotten this when i turn off the pickup roll and at the end of a print the printer back feeds and theres not enough slack. maybe you have too much tension on the pickup roll?

thats possible, but its so random which color drops. plus we tried that for 1 color and it didnt come back right away, and has been spotty ever since

i had a similar problem with the material sticking to itself and leaving white dots such as that behind. it was never that bad tho

anyone have any tips on how to clean the underside of a hp10000s carriage? i have some stuff hanging which i think it catching the sliders

can someone explain the wash printheads cleaning? the manual just says it soaks the nozzles in the ink for 1-2 hours. is it like a jv5 where u set the time and theres a countdown? or do i simply execute the menu option and leave it for a couple hours?

so quick to blame the family of the shooter. i think responcibilty lands in the school for not dealing with bullying and harrassment

i have no problems switching them back and forth. i am one of those people who took out the catridge too soon (i didnt know better). luckily ive saved them all and am able to re-use them :smile:

i dont know if the dampers/pump are shot or the heads fugged or what but the black on head 2 wont print, no matter how many cleanings or nozzle washes i do. however the other colors work just fine. will i hurt anything if i just run it anyways and have the other heads pick up the black slack...
