  1. Any idea on this font?

    Does anyone recognize this? Thanks!
  2. Is there any way to fix leaning retractable roll up banner?

I'd say it was over-tensioned - it looks like it's distorting the pole.
  3. How to remove right pinch roller on VS 540i

Yes, remove 'C' clip. Here's a tip - between the roller and the holder are two washers (one each side of the roller) - and they have to be lined up when you replace the wheel and push the shaft through. I found a small dab of grease on the side of the wheel bearing and you can stick the washer...
  4. best vector program

If you're talking about auto-tracing, I don't think any software program will be better than doing it manually. Most auto-traces put in far too many nodes, and often by the time you clean all that up, you could have digitized it yourself.
  5. Looking for framing suggestions

Greetings, Looking at a project that utilizes a 5'x10' ACP sheet. I'd like to offer some kind of frame to finish off the perimeter and just wondered if anyone had any suggestions or recommendation. The panel is going onto metal siding, so my first thought was to put up lumber strapping, affix...
  6. The right way to install a 24' x 12' aluminum sign

You do know that a majority of large backlit signs use a flex face (i.e. banner type material) ? How are you fastening the Aluminum to the frame? Hopefully not ugly screws through each panel?
  7. The right way to install a 24' x 12' aluminum sign

My suggestion would be to use a banner face system like Acklands - http://www.acklandmediaframes.com/ You would have a one-piece face, a lightweight install and changeable if needs be. Something to consider?
  8. Letter track attachment?

+1 for Weld-on. Also, at least for Gemini, they supply the tracking in both acrylic and polycarbonate.
  9. Hockey rink signs

    ???
  10. Hockey rink signs

Greetings! Looking for recommendations as to a heavy duty laminate for going over hockey rink signage. We currently use a regular vinyl laminate (3 mil?) but, of course, it gets beaten up pretty quickly. Looked into Convex 12mil, but wondered what else might be suitable (and perhaps not as...
  11. Can these letters be fabricated?

    Direct Sign Wholesale ?
  12. Edge II printout

Hi, Am I right in thinking there is a printout you can produce on the Edge II that shows the head hours, etc? If so, how to get it? Thanks, GVP
  13. Crystallex?

Thanks, but the spec. clearly says 'Crystallex window frosting'
  14. Beveling effect on 1/2" black acrylic

Refocus the beam half way through? At ½" thick, if you aligned to the top of the material, it will be out of focus by the time it gets to the bottom?
  15. Crystallex?

Hi, Does anyone know who manufactures under the name "Crystallex" ? We've been asked to quote a job that specifies this - I believe it is etch-look vinyl. Thanks!
  16. Monument Signage Design - How to Fabricate

If by 'wrapped', you mean digital vinyl applied I think I would be concerned about the durability. Depending on which direction it faces, you could have a problem with fading over a relatively short time. Have you considered something like Texture Plus - they do some very nice faux wood panels?
  17. Is this bad?

    RAM error?
  18. First time for this type of job... any advice?

Have you considered having the background spray painted? Don't know how the economics would compare, but it would totally eliminate any risk of the background vinyl failing? Perhaps a local body shop would give you a price. You could even roller the paint, depending on how particular your...
  19. printing to versaworks

Are you sending it as a pdf? I believe there is a 200" page size limit on pdf files - try sending as an eps?
  20. Need Help Pricing

It depends on coverage, but I don't think $40 would even cover the cost of materials, let alone your labor. How much of the 4'x16' are you covering?
