Greetings! We have an Allen Datagraph plotter which needs some attention. Unfortunately, Allen Datagraph have told me it's too old and they no longer support the model (824 I think).
Does anyone know of anyone else they could recommend to work on it?
If it were me, for 20" of material I'd just start over and save the time trying to salvage them. You can pretty much bet that in any job, the labour costs (i.e. your time) far outweigh the material costs...
Greetings!
Although we don't use Illustrator much, occasionally we use it for bringing in customers files for modifying. We use the 'flatten transparency' method on those with linked files, but notice that often the images are broken up into lots of squares. My question is a) why? b) is there...
On big pieces, I find Rapidtac2 too 'grabby' - even RapidTac1 can sometimes be too quick. I agree with GB2 - water/soap mixture is what I would use on large solid pieces. Also, a calendered material, being a little thicker, I think is easier to handle. Take plenty of towel!
Greetings! I have a Yellotools back-slitting knife, which is great. But bringing in blades from the US to here in Canada is a pain - I was wondering if they are proprietory or is there an equivalent out there? Anyone recognize them?
We just use a roller and flat latex - a couple of coats if I recall correctly, and a third on the returns. The picture is a recent(ish) job using 1" Ultraboard - the letters were around 18" high.
Greetings!
We've been asked to look at a digital wall mural on the tiled walls of a washroom. Anyone have an experience on vinyl over what I assume are ceramic tiles? Is there a recommendation for type of vinyl to use? My main concern would be the grout lines, I can't see it sticking too...
Greetings! I have a customer looking to match existing panels. They are 1/8" clear acrylic with a back print (that part isn't a concern) The panels appear to have a polished ¼ round radius edge as opposed to square cut. Similar to the look from a round-over bit on a router except it's...
This is an interesting comment - I had always thought laminate narrower than the vinyl the way to go, without considering it may affect the actual laminating process. Any idea what the reasoning is?
We had this randomly happen - always on print jobs, never on cut. Initially, we thought it a temperature thing as keeping the print room fairly warm seemed to help. But, I'm sorry to say, eventually we had to have a new motherboard installed :(
Greetings! Can anyone id this font - it's got me stumped. I've pulled the letters apart a bit in photoshop to try and make it a little clearer..
Thanks in advance!
