We've put up tons of Dak units... I'm extremely familiar with their product. Let me know if you have any questions.
I'll PM you my Reps contact information. His territory is the Southeast but he might at least be able to get you pointed in the right direction.
I run VM Ware Fusion with Windows 7 and Flexi 8.6 everyday without issue.
As I mentioned in the other thread, this has proven to be more stable than running the Mac version of Flexi 8.6, which IMO is terrible.
I ran FlexiPRO 8.6 on my Mac using the same Dongle and Password that I had for Windows. So if you buy a Windows version with a USB Dongle and a working password that'll run it on the Mac.
Now for the actual Mac program... In my experience it was very unstable and not reliable enough for...
The dongle is for the software, not the plotter. What software do you have?
I used CasMate PRO with that plotter back in the day. I had to turn in my parallel dongle when I upgraded to FlexiSIGN PRO so now I have a USB dongle for Flexi.
Almost any version of Flexi will run the Allen. I use...
I use Flexi to print on my XC-540 and cut on my Graphtec all the time.
There's nothing wrong with the XC's cutting ability, it's just more efficient now for me to keep printing and contour cut on another machine.
Well I'm a huge BMW fan... bimmers, not beamers.
I personally have a 2004 E46 M3 that's 100% stock. By far one of the most fun cars to really drive. Here's a photo from the last track event I attended and a photo of the car in a puddle in front of our office.
I also have a 2005 Silverado...
I switched about 4 years ago... best decision ever!
I now use Illustrator CS5 w/ CadTools exclusively for my sign design work.
All my "PC" fonts installed without issue. Most all TrueType, OpenType, and PostScript fonts work just fine on the Mac.
I also use Suitcase Fusion to manage my font...
I like 3M 3630 series.
For printed graphics I like 3M IJ-3630-20 with the 8520 matte laminate.
To prevent colors from washing out when lighted I print a second set of graphics on clear 3M IJ-3650-114 and then apply the IJ-3630-20 on top. So I have two layers of ink and vinyl for the light to...
I love SignVOX. I wish I had enough free time to write a proper review. I can't recommend it enough!
I think the support is what makes the product so amazing. If it wasn't for Kevin's amazing help getting us started I don't think we'd be utilizing the software properly.
Anyone thinking about...
We've been using SignVOX for about a month... and it truly ROX!
No additional fee for the QuickBooks integration.
At the end of the day you export an IIF file with all the days invoices and payments and import those right into QB.
As far as payment processing, you're really just entering...
It'll work just fine... it's just kind of a "waste" because it's a translucent film and it's not needed.
It's also not going to be glossy like the opaque silver metallic film.
Otherwise, go for it. It'll still last for quite a few years.
You know what else works great with an Intous... SignVOX ;)
Seriously though. I've been using a tablet for about 4 years now and I'd be lost without it. I'm so much faster and more efficient at the computer, especially with 3 monitors. (It takes forever to get the mouse from one side to the...
Actually... you'll want info on UL 48. That pertains to the sign industry:
http://www.ul.com/global/eng/pages/offerings/industries/lighting/services/certification/safety/signsafety/index.jsp
In order to legally offer illuminated sign you'll need to be listed with either UL, ETL, or MET. It's...
