  1. Decided to upgrade as well... Have two working setups for sale.

Those would make for nice office/accounting computers. Post up the model numbers on the Mobo and processor and I might just take both of them off your hands.
  2. Illustrator CS5 - autominimizing when I alt+tab between programs?

Have you tried using the Application Frame (Window>Application Frame)? It groups all your open Illustrator documents into the application similar to how Illustrator works on Windows. I personally don't care for it, but it might solve your problem.
  3. Illustrator CS5 - autominimizing when I alt+tab between programs?

Alt+Tab or Command+Tab? Alt+Tab doesn't do anything for me on my Mac. Do you have custom keyboard shortcuts? I use Command+Tab to switch between programs and it doesn't minimize any of my files.. I don't use the Application Frame either, I just have the old style "floating" interface. Never...
  4. AI CS5- how can I check the rez of a bitmap

When you have the image selected it shows up in the tool bar at the top of the screen. If an image is in a group or a clipping mask you'll need to double click to enter isolation mode so you can select the actual image... or just find the image in the layers palette and select it that way.
  5. Need help with replacing lighted sign panels

Don't want to hijack your thread... but how is that sign still standing? Do they not have sign codes up there? You have a support structure that looks like it's made of galvanized fence posts. The electrical conduit is TAPED to the pole. And the conduit is pulling out of the junction box...
  6. Simple my azz!

That's a nice booth! Puts our converted semi trailer to shame! I'll have to hire you and your guys to install our booth when we build our new shop (whenever that might be!). You should be a professional by then!
  7. Newest Install

That darn light pollution... it's caused a hole in the ozone layer!
  8. Newest Install

Nice! I like the little quarter round pieces on the sides of the cabinet. Do those lines light up at night too? Love to see a night shot. (I agree, get rid of that reader board... sell 'em an LED message center!)

  12. Roland Ink in Jacksonville/Orange Park Florida

Does anyone know where I can purchase Roland EcoSol Max cartridges in the Jacksonville/Orange Park area? I let someone borrow my stock of Magenta cartridges, now I don't have any and my order of new cartridges won't be here until Tuesday. Of course I'm in the middle of a huge project and...
  13. white boarder around eps in versaworks

It's likely the EPS Margin in VersaWorks. VW adds a little bit of a margin to EPS files because any cut lines on the edge of the file will be missed. If you click the "File Format" button in your job properties you'll see the option for the margin at the top. It will likely be greyed out. If...
  14. PlastiDip....Ever used it?

I resprayed the center console/cup holders in my M3... BMW used a rubber paint from the factory and after 7 years it began to peel off, I figured I'd give the PlastiDip a try. It seems to hold up pretty good. I painted it about 6 months ago and it still looks new. I cleaned and sanded the...
  15. MacBook

I have a 2010 (maybe 2009) model MacPro with dual, dual core, 2.6GHz Xeons, 32GB or RAM, a 1 GB nVida graphics card, and 10k RPM hard drives. (I bought the RAM and graphics card last year and upgraded) I use it to do a LOT. Mostly Photoshop, Illustrator, and AfterEffects. I work with some...
  16. MacBook

:help The MacBook is their entry level notebook. Not designed for "professional" use. It's actually Apple's least expensive notebook. I'd highly recommend the MacPro for any Pjotoshop work. I use one everyday. I've had lots of REALLY nice pc workstations including, Dell Precisions, custom...
  17. MacBook

I've got a MacBook PRO that I bought about a year ago. It's got the dual core 2.6GHz i7 w/ 8 gigs of memory. Still a very respectable computer today. It wasn't cheap, but it'll last me another 2 years at least. (This is my 5th MacBook PRO/PowerBook) It runs Photoshop and Illustrator like a...
  18. print the colors you are seeing on the screen

One advantage of a properly profiled system is the ability to print raster images. I'd like to see your magic color charts help you print a photograph properly.

  20. Information Needed.............

Have you tried using your laptop to communicate? That should be step 1 anytime you have a communication issue. I can't tell you how many times something in a customer's computer has caused a glitch in the software and wouldn't allow it to communicate. I typically sell my customers a stand...
