  1. Strange JV33 160 Capping Station Issue

Interesting, i don't think I've ever heard of anyone leaving their Mimaki on all the time. You set the heater timeout in the printer's setup menu, right? Will the printer still do periodic cleanings (sleep cleanings) if it is on? That's what it is looking like. Thanks for weighing in 4R.
  2. Strange JV33 160 Capping Station Issue

I can't say for sure since I only noticed the gap between the print head and the capping station yesterday. But the problem caused by this was what prompted my co-worker to change the capping station. I will remove and reinstall the capping station to make sure. Thanks for the input, Chris.
  3. Strange JV33 160 Capping Station Issue

A co-worker replaced the capping station two weeks ago upon encountering a faulty test draw.
  4. Strange JV33 160 Capping Station Issue

I've noticed a few times recently during my morning printer maintenance that the test draw shows several missing nozzles. The problem has been remedied so far by an Ink Fill or two. I also noticed that if I printed jobs overnight (leaving the printer on) that my test draw is great the next...

Can any of you font gurus identify this font?
  7. Am I the crazy one?

Sadly, I've witnessed this numerous times from clients. I've actually had clients ask for full-size proofs for 4' x 8' signs because they couldn't envision what it would look like from an 8.5" x 11" proof. Client: You mean you don't do full-size proofs? Me: Sure we do. They're called signs. I...

  15. Printable RGB Color Chart

I remember someone here posting a printable RGB color chart they had created. I've searched the forum high and low but am coming up empty. Can someone direct me to that thread or share an RGB chart they have created?
  16. JVV vs SS21

I just want to echo what SightLine said. We've used Triangle inks for around ten years (JVS series on our JV3 and now JVV series on our JV33). They are superior to Mimaki OEM inks. On a related note, when SightLine talks about Mimaki printers I listen. He know his stuff.
  17. How do I hold a contour cut overnight?

I also like to hold my cut files until I manually delete them in case there is an error during the reading of the crop marks. Otherwise, once you send the cut job, it is gone. This has saved me on several occasions. Setup>Default Job Properties>Workflow>After Output>Hold
