Welcome from Salt Lake City, UT. Not sure if they ship to Sweden, but I have dealt with Seri-Deco - www.seri-deco.fi - they have always been good to work with.

I get the exact same thing in Chrome as well. Although on my Android phone - which I would assume using a variant of Chrome I don't have the problem. Odd.

I have heard arguments for both. Some people think the UV cut should happen on the software side other say hardware is the way to go. Check if the profiling software can do the UV cut, some do some don't.
As for whether your media does contain optical brighteners, I believe a black light...
No, Wasatch does not override the PF Adjust setting on the front panel. You stated you had tried different quality modes, were you using profiles built for these different settings or using the same one?
Bryan
Wasatch does not run natively on a Mac. We do allow for Mac clients to send jobs via ethernet to hotfolders. But you must have a PC running for Softrip to rip your files.

Make sure you are running the SCSI related drivers from the disc that came with the printer. In my experience supporting Softrip in connection to the Seiko ColorPainter devices if you used the driver from Windows vs. the driver from Seiko communications would fail. Make sure you try all the...
The SC-500 predates VersaWorks by a few years. I would start by reading this manual for ColorChoice -> http://www.advancedcolorsolutions.com/documentation/files/Roland_ColorChoice_v4.pdf <-
I haven't touched ColorChoice if a very, very long time.
Good Luck.

+1 on the wireless comment. Personally I only trust cut data over a wireless connection. Print data is usually much larger and less fault tolerant then cut data.

There are other benefits to using a print server. Throughput is much better as the data travels over ethernet from RIP station to the printer. Also, ethernet cables are much cheaper, easier to replace than the old LPT/Centronic cables and have virtually no limit on length. I...
A profile is not required for printing, although in most situations this is not a good idea. The output profile is just a big lookup table of values sent to the printer and values read from the printed output - think of the profiling patches step. Along with the output profile you input...
Tovis - The book I have was printed in 2006.
Rodi - I agree the theory is very well covered and stands up to time. Real World Color Management just spends alot of pages on print options for several applications and different OSes. Back to Mac 9. As for putting the process backwards, I...
Finally got around to reading Real World Color Management again -> http://www.amazon.com/World-Color-Management-Bruce-Fraser/dp/0201773406 <-
Fantastic book. I really enjoyed the first few chapters on color as an 'event'. The chapter on automation and DeviceLink profiles was also very...
Mimaki has also released a newer version of the UJF series. The UJF-3042 -> http://www.mimakiusa.com/IndustrialProduct.aspx?level=3&pid=3&cid=379 The printable area is about 12" by 16" but I think it is the lowest price UV cured printer from any of the major manufacturers.
Check out their...
One more thing to remember. The name UV for HP's ink is a bit misleading. This ink is not UV cured and still requires coated media unlike the UV printers such as Gandi, Inca, etc.
Bryan
It is a fairly simple process to switch from Dye to UV. Maybe an hour job. The kit includes new ink lines from the ink cartridges all the way to the printheads. A bit of a pain to route the lines, make sure the lines move with the carriage before powering on.
Bryan
If by 6 color you mean the dilute inks and not an inkset like CMYK Red Blue or Orange Green, then I would say the conversion is not needed. The RIP will determine where the dilutes should be used. The source file should not need any change to print 6 color or 4 color. If you are talking about...

I see you are running Flexi, but for the Softrip users out there I thought I would mention the utility 'Color Atlas Generator'. This utility will generate files similar to what Gabagoo is suggesting. I have created a simple PS file with 30x30 patches of different...
