  1. website self-design page

We had this for about 2 years and worked okay. https://www.colorsxpress.com/ The cost vs. the return was not so good for us and that is why we stopped using it. Plus stupid people can't spell so beware of the people that will blame you or it was the software's fault for misspellings...
  2. wall material for gerber edge?

The 631 clear has a matte finish like the rest of the 631 films. I don't think it would work well with the thermal printing process. Maybe Arlon makes a gloss clear "wall" material?
  3. wall material for gerber edge?

I think Advantage makes a wall friendly gloss material? I think it's part if their Optima series, maybe it was Grimco?? Try Advantage first....
  4. Malcuits Sign

    Nicely done, thanks for sharing!
  5. Desktop Sublimation Printer

Only the ink transfers to the media/substrate (shirt, mug, mouse pad etc.), something about the heat turns the ink into a gas and is absorbed to the receptive media. So even though you print on a White sheet the sheet is just the carrier for the ink. In order to create a Black shirt the shirt...
  6. Desktop Sublimation Printer

Yes, print onto sheets and I do know that the substrate needs to be sublimation ready, shirts, hats, mouse pads, mugs etc. We tried getting into dye sub like 7 years ago, very scratch resistant once applied with "no feel" to it. Pretty neat if you have the time to make it work. I don't think...
  7. Malcuits Sign

Very nice.... lots of experience shown there. How were the hangers constructed?
  8. I need some help locating steel sign blanks

Hey Pat thanks for that info, how will that stuff hold up outdoors? I assume you laminate over the paper correct? http://www.magnummagnetics.com/resources/file/PDF/sellsheets/PaperSteel.pdf
  9. Mutoh VJ1304 keeps margin 30mm on the left side

My suggestion would be to check the printer settings for Side Margin setting. Our is set to 4mm Menu, Setup> then Side Margin on ours in #4
  10. Used Laminator Rollers...Does the rubber degrade or dry out?

We are running 54" laminate with a 50" media to see if that helps. The heat idea may work, never thought of that. Edit: the 54" lam on the 50" media still silvers and there is still a gap, I'll put a electric base board heater under it and run it to see if that will help.
  11. FCxxxx cutting strips

A cutting strip should be a cutting strip. It it fits the width then you should be good, in a pinch you can flip the old one and use some banner hem tape to secure it.
  12. Used Laminator Rollers...Does the rubber degrade or dry out?

The BIGGEST thing IMO is to make sure the top and bottom rollers are not warped or worn. We bought a used 54" USTECH laminator and because the previous owner used 30" media 90% of the time it wore down the center of the rollers. Now when you go to laminate anything over 30" you get silvering...
  13. Best panel saw blades?

Got a product number? Looking at the blades they offer I only saw 11" blades...
  14. Getting My First SmartPhone

LOL, I feel your pain with a 14 YO Step daughter. Thankfully our service provider cuts her data off at 3 gigs, generally in a week or so. Those $500+ cell bills got old real quick!

  16. Mutho 1204 pinchroller

WOW!!:omg2: those do not look good. Mine still look new compared to those... There was a post not to long ago about replacing those. Looking but not having much luck....
  17. Printing and Contour cutting on R Tape Smooth Silver

So when I inquired to SW about what might work their response was good luck... The eye on the cutter will not scan the "reflective" media and there was not much you can do. He did suggest covering up the crop makes with masking tape and redraw the lines like cgvginc said and that did work with...
  18. Magnet cutter

my .02 is to make 4 contact points on the outside of the circle/design. Then somehow have the knife centered in those 4 contact points with an adjustable arm with the blade that will rotate. No hole in the center and the 4 contact points will proved more pressure and easier to line up.
  19. Oracal Color Wheels?

It was free, also got the standard "book" but not nearly as detailed as this fan. I have no idea if they still have em', but I'll check and report back tomorrow.
  20. Oracal Color Wheels?
