It's a 65ft yacht, the water will stain the hull no matter salt or fresh water. A 1/4" 1mil unsightly edge is better then the stripe failing, again it's a 65ft boat just sayin maybe a little overkill.... Never worked with the 3M Marine stuff.
Just curious but when you wrap a boat do you edge...
try restylers choice in OH. for the striping.
And if you can seal the edges with some cast laminate that will stop water from getting behind the striping.

I know it's doming and we have done it plenty in the past. My question is what equipment was used to made the Chrome, Red and Black graphics part.
Can that look be achieved by a thermal printer? And if it can is there someone out there that can get close with the Red effect?
Contact Phil @ Summa, he will send you all the samples you can handle. In the samples he sent me I saw no banding in any of them, I've read the horror stories as well. I was told it was an in proper set up and really I was not to concerned, the prints looked great. Now I know the manufactures...
Have a friend that asked if we can dome some vinyl letters for him. Yea, that's not to hard just let me know what you have in mind. So I get a package with the attached NOS decal that is no longer being produced.
It has to be thermal printed but not sure how. Are those Summa or Gerber colors...
When ours will not power back on, unplug it for 15-20 minutes or so. Then plug it back in and it should power back on. We have been getting lots of power flickers and outages with the high wind, really need to get a battery back-up... good luck!
