I used to use small squares of low tack thin double sided tape at the corners when I would be printing on material that likes to curl. It would stick to the print table better than the substrate so I could use it over and over.

It depends what the customer needs/expects. The only thing we usually use clear vinyl for is small acrylic plaques that we reverse print and stick on the back side and then overlay with white. I keep a few samples like this that only have half white on the back to show them what to expect.

What firmware are you running? I know some machines(like mine) were having printhead overheating problems with the older firmware.

Letting solvent prints dry/outgas flat doesn't really work since the gas is heavier than air. Letting them sit, loosely rolled upright in the "fan bucket" is the best idea. (other than latex prints)

That sounds a lot more difficult and time consuming than clicking "High Ink Level". I've never had anyone complain that the colors of their sign were ever so slightly darker.

yeah happened to me once or twice with january's beta firmware. Just a bug I suppose.

I Installed this new firmware, upgrading from the beta HP sent me to fix issues with the heads overheating(which I believe is the cause of most people having the machine reject heads) No problems yet.

Sometimes the machine will reject the head if it has overheated, or has too many nozzles out and is unrecoverable.
