  1. Banner Material Printing Short

One of the downsides to this machine is that it's not entirely accurate. Even in the manual it says banner is the worst with I believe 2% margin of error. Anyways there is a scale correction in onyx's media manager under the basic print mode settings tab(of the media's profile) where you can...
  2. L26500 Carriage Rail Oiling

I've been getting some phantom substrate/carriage jam errors in the past week, so I was going to clean and re-oil the rail/pads on my new 26500. On the 25500 I could access the oil pads on either side of the carriage with no problem, but on the 26500 there seems to be some device on the right...
  3. Can someone explain to me

It's not for 4x8 sheets of material. 42" and 48" printers are used primarily for indoor posters and marketing displays.
  4. Nice Tools for Cutting Coroplast

Awesome. I can't believe I haven't seen this before! Thank you.
  5. Nice Tools for Cutting Coroplast

Someone needs to make a 10mil coro cutter.
  6. Latex Longevity?

We got rid of our seiko/hp9000 for a 26500 and never looked back. there is nothing I miss about my old solvent printers.
  7. L25500, L26500 and L28500 edge holders

I was just about to post a thread about these. I've been using them for banner and paper on my L26 but this morning the carriage just smashed into one. Bent up one of the little "ears" and broke the plastic slider. And somehow the broken plastic wedged straight up vertical where the 4th head...
  8. HP L26500 Ink Cartridge

I would assume its a chip/connector issue. But I can not say for certain. I would guess a mechanically defective cart would not fit correctly or just shoot ink out everywhere when it pressurizes.
  9. HP L26500 Ink Cartridge

Sometimes we used to get a "dead" cartridge that the machine would'nt recognize when you put it in. Have not got one of those in a while though. maybe just a bad batch.
  10. HP L26500 Ink Cartridge

HP Customer care has been stellar for me. Some people there actually understand that these machines are essential to customers shops, and they are pretty much dead in the water when they go down. They have always next day air'd heads or ink if I get a bad one from my supplier. Hell, they even...
  11. HP L26500 Ink Cartridge

Yes. Especially since you cant get replacements next day.
  12. Latex colors?

Has anyone hit a solid bright orange with the 26500?
  13. clear decal stock

I've used my suppliers generic clear vinyl for stuff that does not have to be perfect, and oracal 290? opticlear laminate for stuff that has to be perfect. I suppose you could use the 85xx series from 3m since it has a heavy poly liner and opticlear adhesive. only deterrent is cost. You'll have...
  14. Hp l26500

Nope. No alcohol/solvents to clean prints. The ink will come off.
  15. Firefox 17 won't load L25500 EWS

Same here, Win7. wish I saw this post before firefox updated. Strange.
  16. New L25600 vs used L25500

just type in the local IP (192.168....) of your printer into your web browser. click the support tab, then printer info. You can find your machines IP on the main screen of the 25500, scroll down to the little printer icon. Don't expect any errors listed to be in plain english.
  17. Nippon Reflective Vinyl and the HP L25500

I print on Avery's A7 reflective white all the time without issue. I don't think you'll have any problems.
  18. HP Logistics and Parts support SUCKS!

That's unfortunate for you. HP Customer Service has always been above and beyond anything you'd expect from a global mega multi nation corp. for me.
  19. Hp l26500

What constitutes interior use to you/your customers? people putting their grubby hands all over it all the time or just hanging on a wall?
  20. HP Latex users

I never use high ink. I'd have to use 24+ pass to get full coverage prints to dry at max heat.
