  1. Time to take them out of my daily sight and remembrance of how much spent....

Staples used to take our old hp9000 carts back and give us $3 in rewards or whatever for each one.
  2. Tampa area "quality" wrap installers?

We use wrap wizards, ask for Tony or Crystal.
  3. 3M Wrap Vinyl Issue...

Aren't the solvents heavier than air? So that if you have your prints flat on the table the vapor just sits on top.
  4. l26500 Prints don't line up for contour cut

I've found that vinyl with at least a 90# paper liner will prevent bowing. Some of the more economical vinyls have a thinner 80-82# liner. Same vinyls different liner... Ask your supplier, it's usually listed somewhere.
  5. HP L26500 color shift within same job.

I print 200' rolls of paper overnight all the time. Last print looks exactly the same as the first. Color bars/gutters help, but having the coolest temp possible is key to heads not dropping out during long runs.
  6. Initializing Please Wait

My 25, and 26500 both did this whenever they had an error. Kind of an annoying bug to have to reset the machine twice.
  7. Latex compatible static cling?

White cling should be fine, its clingy on both sides.
  8. Help IDing graphic type (firetruck)

Looks like Edge printed "small engine" turn Signgold/Gilder's Gold to me.
  9. Newbie decal help

For vehicle lettering always try to use cast colored films which will last a few years longer and be much easier to remove when the time comes. Always laminate printed decals for outdoors, especially vehicles. Banners are by nature temporary, so no, no one laminates them. But occasionally a...
  10. Pop Up anticurl banner stand material

I use POS Pro all the time in my 25/26500. I believe you have your heat waaaay too high if you're melting it.
  11. Help! Banding issues with L25500

I had the same issue with overheating heads. make sure you have the latest firmware, otherwise you'll be cooking them all the time. If you check in the web server it will list the error codes for the heads. If I remember correctly 10 was the code for overheating(could be the last 2 digits of a...
  12. Glossy "Wet" Carbon Fiber Wrap Film?

This is just the regular textured 1080 carbon fiber. Ebay sellers aren't the most accurate with their products, especially in our industry. Anyways, my point still stands. besides hydrodipping and a clear coat afterwards, you don't have any other options besides the real deal factory inserts...
  13. Glossy "Wet" Carbon Fiber Wrap Film?

So, a man spends $100,000+ on a car but can't afford a $2,000 option from the factory? I don't understand people. Hydrodipping is your best bet, if he is too poor after buying his ultra luxury sports car. Have it sprayed with a few coats of clear afterwards to give it depth.
  14. Black Ink Values for HP L25500

I would use a lot less yellow, about 10 or so just to keep the heads firing. Too much yellow will make your black have a greenish tinge in direct sunlight.
  15. Where to buy banner sewing machine?

Look for a model that has a spool feed for the bottom instead of bobbins. We used to have a lock-stitch machine that used giant spools on top and tiny bobbins on the bottom, which meant constantly running out of thread/monofilament and wasting time changing them every 50 feet or so.
  16. roll media option for 250GT?

I had the roll option on my Gerber ion. It was pretty much just for backup if/when our hp9000 went down.
  17. high temp label-nameplate material

    Tungsten should work well.
  18. L26500 Carriage Rail Oiling

The tech may not have oiled the pads when it was installed. I know mine wasn't. Thanks for the tip Bill, I'll try it that way next time. Hopefully it comes out a little farther towards the middle of the platen.
  19. Show quality

Tell this customer to buy a black "show quality" car in the first place and then you'll put whatever graphics he wants on it. People think color changing a car with vinyl is going to be paint perfect. They will never be happy no matter how good you hide seams or how straight your cuts are.
