With the metallic it really makes a difference on what substrate you are printing on and the mode used (blended or layered) - also if the convert spot colors box is not checked in Versaworks on the file format tab, the metallic colors will not print correctly and will look very dull.

I just got one 2 weeks ago and am still testing / playing with it. Very impressive on what it can do and your mind will continually be seeing things and wanting to print on them.

I have seen this plenty of times and it is the reason I ALWAYS recommend that you have the printer on its own dedicated network card with a line going straight to the printer. No hub, router, switch etc. The drop is from lossy network systems and once there is a disconnect, it has to be reset.

I have installed 2 of them now and have been able to do testing and profiling on it. Pretty crazy machine - the inks dry very fast and the color gamut is def improved.
I use it pretty often. Trick to keep your cutting strip from going out too quick - put a strip of laminate over it and replace when it gets nicked up. Saves you a lot of money on cutting strips :)
