Ever think that it may be in the PDF output settings you used? In most software it defaults to output the colors in CMYK - if your RIP cannot identify the Pantone colors, then it cannot maintain them. Roland has recently added this and I believe most RIPs already have it. If you export to PDF...
For the Roland machines it depends on the model of printer and the time frame it was built. There are some with an aluminum frame and others that have some steel in them. If the magnet sticks to the back apron - you have steel - do not print on it.

I have never heard, seen, or met anyone who has successfully used this act to get a warranty enforced by a COMMERCIAL printer...
are you sure that you used white? it should have a flood coat behind the whole graphic. Can you post the file so we can see if there is anything that can be adjusted?
