What about cutting foamboard is difficult or not working? We don't use anything fancy to cut our FB, just a straight edge and a sharp #11 Xacto blade.

The point is to test knife/ cut skills. Knifeless is great but not always an option. The cut test is to make sure you know how to cut with a light touch and not cut the paint.

Make a friend who has a space big enough to pull the vehicle inside. We borrowed space in a body shop for years before getting our indoor space. Traded some small work for them as thanks but they were happy to help.

I just looked and i run our 13/15oz on 20 for the vacuum. im sure it would be lower for 10oz. Lower that setting and see what it does.

What is your vacuum setting at? It seems counter productive but i lowered my vacuum pressure on our 13oz ultraflex and it stopped the bunching up problem we had when banner would finish. It may be worth a shot for you to try. I can look and see what we have ours set at if you need.

Look into pad printing instead of screen printing. We do it in house, but again, shipping would probably kill any profit on the job.

Depending on what the graphics look like, for simple stripes and other shapes most RVs have we usually strip, run knifeless just outside of the sun faded area and apply new vinyl over it.

Our normal day to day signs and banners is down from last year, but we have had a couple of big jobs come through this year that has us up substantially from the past few years. We are a small shop and seem to be turning away more and more of the "i need it now" people.

Even though the customer says they wont have the truck more than a few years i would still go cast. I can't remember how many times someone has said something is just "short term" and they have left it on for years. At the end of the day id rather use the cast vinyl and not have to worry about it.
