Ive stopped expecting print or cut ready artwork when we have someone say they will have their "Graphic Designer" send stuff over.
What i do expect is that if it isn't print ready it is in a format that either they or we can get print ready. I am getting fed up with explaining what bleed is to...
When you say its a large 11'x16' banner, i am automatically assuming this banner has some kind of finishing (grommets, hems, something). If somehow the person printing missed a poor print someone in finishing should have caught it. If that person missed it, someone had to pack and ship, they...
We have something similar to what marlene has on all of our proofs and posted on the wall in the shop and people still check proofs on their phones and miss things. It is a delicate balance of telling them to kick rocks and pay for the reprint vs. pissing them off and having them trash us...
12 stitches total, 6 in my thumb 6 in my index finger cutting MaxMetal on our panel saw... a little sliver of aluminum when cutting wrapped around the blade and whipped at my face, i instinctively grabbed it to keep it from slicing my face open and pinched it between my fingers slicing it pretty...
We have lost 2 sales reps this year due to downsizing and now the new rep assigned to us is over 10 hours away and flat out said he will never step foot in our shop.... But we got an email saying how cheetah wraps has added yet another new location. I am trying to get away from fellers as much...
Just don't rely on their "availability" it shows on their website, its BS. We got burned by them on a sign bracket it said they had in stock and would ship in a week, a week later we were told they didn't have any in stock and had to be manufactured and it would be another month. Found another...
3M has a printable vinyl wrap material that doesn't "Bruise" like normal reflective vinyl. We used it on our shop van to test it out and it works great. That would be my suggestion for material use, but it is pricey.
The avery wrap classes are awesome. i took the digital films class in green bay a few months back and it was great. I wish it was a day longer but all of the info and hands on tips was priceless. Im a big fan of the wrap institute and getting to work hands on with justin and picking his brain...
We use matching optically clear lam on all of our perf prints. Keeps dirt and water out of the holes.
I think what you did, minus the excessive overlap, looks good. Problem was how the install was going to happen was not relayed to the client. If they weren't expecting a huge seam because no ne...
We had a CJV30-130 for about 3 years, and a roland before that.
Loved the mimaki but out-gas times were killing production. I came in one Monday after a weekend storm to find the mimaki had fried in a lightning strike.
We went on a mad hunt and got a HP L360 bought and installed in under a...
Dec - Feb are usually slow for us, but its also usually ungodly cold here.
We do paper printing and apparel along with our signage/ vehicle graphics so that usually fills in the slower months. "Summer" (Mar-Nov) we go like gangbusters on any nice day and pump as much work as we can to offset...
