Practice snapping the line out a few times on scraps before you go live. I see a lot of people struggle to snap the line until they get the hang of it.

This is how i would do it if i was going to do a horizontal seam. Seam it on your production table, now your seam is perfect and you have 1 large print to go live with on the vehicle.

Our local dealers always display on the sides not the glass. The magnets have worked great for them. Yes as vehicles are made from more alternative materials we have done other things for them, but they use the magnets 90% of the time with no issue.
