  1. laser cutting acrylic question

You won't see the toxic fumes, though.
  2. First Pan Face Estimate, Sound right?

That's about what I can get away with for a job like that in my area, if I'm using our bucket truck for the installation. Maybe a little more depending on how complicated the design is on the 3' x 6' face. If the signs are reachable from the ground or from a small ladder, maybe that's why your...
  3. RED at day ORANGE at night.

Yep. Great responses above. Cut vinyl >>>>>>> Print on outside + clear reverse print on inside >>>>>>>> Print on outside only. The silver lining is at least you didn't do it with cheap opaque cut vinyl like 651, as the majority of my competitors like to do. :Big Laugh
  4. Image Help

Good suggestion on sending it to the Vector Doctor. However, you will never not "suck" (your word, not mine) unless you practice. And this is an easy one. Shouldn't take more than 15 minutes to recreate the entire graphic. It's also the perfect time to practice. You are doing it for your buddy...
  5. Need name suggestions

Skwee Gee Pullerz Ink Dezignz & Graphix* *that's how they roll in my neighborhood, anyway.
  6. Whats your shop layout look like.

I haven't searched lately, but there used to be several threads on this topic. At least one of them had many posts and pics.
  7. pan molded signs face reuseable?

Depends on age of the face, material used and what kind and how many layouts have been on it before. If it's polycarbonate, there will be an increasing amount of yellowing where there was no vinyl. If it's high-impact acrylic, there will be no yellowing, but they are much, much easier to break...
  8. Inbound freight costs for materials

What they said. And if for some reason you can't get a freight quote, guess high. Then extra = more profit.
  9. Help Please

Dang, tiki beat me to it. Here's the link anyway. Go 2 Old Western
  10. Know this FONT ?

Looks like the dreaded Tekton. I hate it. Btw, I always like when a company chooses a font name that is close to their business name, lol. "We have Tech in our name, let's use Tekton."
  11. china trying to steal my domain name

+3 on the scam. You can tell from the message they sent you that is a Chinese person speaking English. Better than most Chinese English to be sure, but still Chinese English, nonetheless.
  12. Client Asked Me To Relocate Plastic Gemini Letters. ADVICE?

Assuming it is a standard Gemini font and not a custom logo -- Gemini has all their fonts available for download from their website. Download them and you'll never have to buy a pattern from them again. Determine the letter size. Download the fonts. Make the pattern before you ever leave your...
  13. Help with this font please

VAG Rounded would get you pretty close. Turn the U upside down to get your N. Maybe modify an O to make the C more closed.
  14. Race Car Number Font ID

That's what I was going to say. That 8 looks like the one from their vector pack 6 convex. With the 1 modified.
  15. Bordeaux ink

Same as the other 2 guys. Switched Mimaki over to Bordeaux several years ago and it's the best move I've ever made with that printer.
  16. Any resident nutritionists?

JMO, but I put no stock in organic. What I mean by natural sugars = whole fruit, vegetables and grains. What I mean by processed is when they grind it up and/or stick additives in it. So, picking an apple off a tree or grocery shelf = good. Eating applesauce = bad. Refined sugar = bad. Refined...
  17. Any resident nutritionists?

My philosophy: Natural sugars and whole grains = good. Refined sugars and grains = bad.
  18. File not "cut ready"

"He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches."
  19. LG phones

That sucks. That's usually the first thing they ask for, is that extra $5-10 a month.
