Have you opened any of the old files with 12 and then re-saved them? Maybe that will restore your previews. Kind of a pain, but that's what I had to do if I wanted to preview flexi 5-6-7 files in flexi 8. I could preview the files inside flexi in the Open Files dialogue box, but not in a browser...

If you use your old flexi files, you have to export them as eps or pdf or whatever and then import into rasterlink. But your flexi rip should still work fine I would imagine.
Mimaki has always had rasterlink. I'm assuming that's still what they call their rip. Not sure why you couldn't still keep using flexi if that's what you're comfortable with.

My city bases permit fees on the AREA of the sign. It is $2/sq. ft. (That's another rant for another day.) So a 4' x 8' rectangle sign = $64 for a permit. A 4' x 8 oval = $50.28.

Do you have a 54" plotter? You could cut the black background and print the logo on white translucent for the outside. Reverse print the logo on clear and apply to the inside so the colors will be consistent when lighted and not lighted.
