What I like to do with a graphic like this, is beef up the outline just a bit. In illustrator, Ill usually go to offset path, and add like a 0.03 outline on the existing outline. It my just be me, but it gives it a little more by doing that. After that, the color added will make it look great!

He knows better. Tell him you will return the favor in a referral for his business, or give him a small discount on any future job. Thats pretty bold of him to ask that, but nowadays, nothing surprises me.

I agree Pat. You have to be careful of what you post on here nowadays. YOu might just ask a simple question about printing, etc. and it gets turned into something entirely else due to someone being a smarta** and wanting to stir the pot.

There is a guy that owns a woodshop about 45 miles away. I got there once a week and pick up my stuff. He stocks mdo for me and a few others, and we send him the files and he cuts it. Its been a big help to me. No more jigsaw.:) His cnc is a shopbot I think. 5' by 10'.

Yeah, Gino, the bear is separate, and on the VIP sign, the logo, cartoon, and word balloon are all separate. I like doing this, as it gives it a little more punch I guess. Thanks to everyone for their comments, I appreciate it.

Heres a couple we installed last week. All mdo on both jobs, with some hand painting, vinyl and digital printing too.

Just on one spot per job. Ive had this summa for about 13 years now also.

My Summa cutter is leaving one small place uncut when I cut vinyl. Its always one small place and no others. Its causing havoc when I weed though, cause I forget and when I weed, then there it goes, rippppppp. Anyone had this problem before? Thanks!

I use the heck out of mdo and havent had a failure in a long time. I used to use wood filler, but had some problems with that, used caulk but took to long to setup, also used wood glue which did okay, but the best thing is to prime and paint. That, imho is what seals it best. I have signs up...

I would call whoever did the wrap, and find out where they got the artwork. If they say they created it, then let them know they didnt, and will be responsible for using copyrighted artwork. Then Id call the vehicle owner and let them know you know what they did, and either pay the design fee or...

I think it looks good, but agree with the others about the contrast on the names. Too dark to be read. But its a nice layout and no doubt they will like it.

By the way, both of them have appeal, but the top one looks better to me. The bottom one has a little too much of a westerny feel to it.

I like them both. Dont know about the scrolls, but if they were the same color gray as the shadow, they would blend better.

Ive held my tounge here on more than one occasion, because by jumping in the fray, it wouldnt help things any at all. I have had a couple of run ins so to speak, and Im definitely not proud of them. Now I just read and jump in when Ive got something to share or ask. Good post Dan, thanks.
