I don't see anything morally wrong with that. The company is out of business. I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Odds are highly in your favor no one is going to come back and haunt you over that.
Ethically - Notify the other company what is going on. Maybe they kicked the client to the curb with the designs. Maybe they didn't. I think a professional phone call to the other company is the right thing to do.
Legally - I am not an attorney so, if you want legal advice. My advice is to find...
This was in addition to the current project of the trailer. It was not part of the original proposal. This was an add on job of "hey we need a new menu board for the trailer, the printed pieces of paper taped to the window aren't cutting it". So, no spin at all. Just a add on little job I took...
You can wash a keyboard in the top rack of a dishwasher with the heated drying feature turned off. Then allow to drain & dry. Make sure to seal up the usb or ps2 connection tight first. I use the tip of a latex glove and a couple of loops of a rubbermaid to seal up the cord end.
Alternatively...
The project in question was started months ago. When the trailer was ordered. Custom kitchen trailers with built in wood fired ovens take a while to build. So, yes I am out of the sign business but, not going to leave clients who have already paid a deposit out in the cold. I will be finishing...
That I can claim ignorance on. Purposely going out of my way to make a design horrible knowing what I now know. Is why it is a low point. I have learned a lot. I cringe now when I look at some of my past work and have even lately refused to re-print some of it. Knowing how bad it actually is now.
The rest of the trailer was easy and nice. We wrapped it all in red, then Added the logos that I drew up but, didn't get to do the actual design of. (She went to fiver.com) with my ideas and had them do it. So, while they came out ok. They weren't nearly as good as what I had dreamed up.
The...
Last night, I took a job for a good clients wife. I was made to design a menu for their pizza trailer using papyrus. I deleted this font from all my machines for a reason. Last night I had to download it. Ughhhh!
I tried to convince her of another font, any other font for that matter. I showed...
Nice Work Joe!
Got a question though on panel #4 why did you use "ESTD" vs. "EST." Really would like to know if that was intentionally done for a design reason or, just some off the cuff way of doing it.
What is wrong with what they have looks reasonable and identifies the business. Collect the check and move on. Not every job needs to be a masterpiece.
If your giving it away try your local school systems. Most schools use hot laminate machines in the sizes you have. Might be a good way to help your local schools and free up your shop.
Might even be tax deductible too. Just something to think about.
Just wanted to add to this. Be aware in many older buildings ceiling tiles may be made with asbestos and you might be on the hook for remediation if you disturb them. So exercise caution.
That was why I suggested the paint. I have made these myself on occasion for odd sized jobs for restaurants. I used max metal put on the dry erase paint and bam! done in a few hours and custom sized to client demands.
You can buy dry erase laminate and you can even get dry erase paint at Lowes.
You might be better of just making one yourself out of your favorite substrate.

I send a fair bit of work to signs365 and never have any issues. I send all my files over as 300dpi .jpgs and things come out perfectly fine.
I don't know why you would be sending vector files to a digital printer. Since all the file will have to be rasterized anyway to even print them.
This thread reminded me of an old saying I grew up hearing from my mother that would apply well here. "If in doubt throw it out"
If your in doubt about the artwork being legal to reproduce throw it out, and do something different.
