  1. Cold Laminator

I use a BS on a long glass table and it only takes seconds it seems to apply mask. I am not the fastest weeder and stay away from jobs with lots of small stuff as a result.
  2. Cold Laminator

edgette, did you buy the weeder as well? Just saw it online, does it work as fast as claimed?
  3. Siser Color Print II... Works Amazing

Mike, I am using HTM2 but I don't like the hand. What has the softest hand and holds up as well?
  4. New Member Here.

Welcome, there is a wealth of goo information on here (none of it comes from me).
  5. How cold is it where you live?

72 now but give it a minute.
  6. Spraying Latex

Some of the accrylic is thin and will spray with the HVLP of but they have a cup gun both at Lowed and at Home Depot that is both an HVLP and a Pressureized cup gun in one. You just switch a valve any you are on syphon with HVLP or switch to pressurized cup and you spray latex nicely all day...
  7. Need some input on location

I think that it is also where everyone else wants to be and there is lots of competition/possibly more laws/higher rents?... I have a house in So California as well but I wouldn't want to move my shop there.
  8. Thank you Cricket Plotter forums!

Sell it to them! $2.50sf and I have a $60 shop minimum. I'll even sheet it off and cut into 12" for you.

  11. Hello from Germany

    Welcome.
  12. big squegee question

Absolutely. We use a 8' glass table, run 7.5' roll up the finished end, roll out the unfinished and keep going. I have had an instance or two with a bubble that I had to work or pop but usually just a little more silvering. My 65" laminator seems to be able to start and stop no issue.
  13. Laminator question

There are no pressure dials on the ustech, it's just a roller release basically. You screw out the knobs until the roller is sitting freely on the bottom roller, the weight of the top roller does the work. I have only used a couple of laminators so I am no expert but I have been running this...
  14. Korographics VS Phototex

Not to hijack the thread but have any of you printed on basic wet strength poster paper and hung like regular wall paper?
  15. Laminator Poll

I should say that mine is a US Tech, but for some reason I put master. They might be the same or very similar. I don't have any special infeed system that I know of. I fust stick it in off the roll. Sometimes I will get it in askew and after 25' or so I will be off 1/4" or so, I do hate that...
  16. Laminator Poll

Chinese Master, 63" I think. No heat. Maybe $2,500. Just laminates roll after roll and we have yet to loose a print. I do wish that I had opted for the roll to roll version with the automated take up roller for the completed prints in the back. If something were to happen to mine I would...
  17. XC-540 Cuts EVERYTHING twice???

My settings have gotten changed before in Illy so that when I save to .eps the box for convert strokes to paths or something along those lines is accidentally checked, this produces two cut lines. You can only see them if you zoom way in on it. Might not be your issue but something to check.
  18. SP(i) vs VS print+cut machines, real world differences?

I think the 'SP' stands for 'Slow Poke'.
  19. Sign Boot Feedback Wanted

I don't see many of them other than the ones with longer legs on the side of the freeway. They weight them down with sandbags or sacks of concrete, I have seen them blown over but don't know how often.
