drop shadows are possible in illustrator (Effect> Stylize> Drop Shadow,) but you may want to check with your printer about what type of printing they use to make the cards. They should be able to give you some guidance as to what their output capabilities are. Good Luck!

Don't know what type of equipment you have, but you could use a large thermal transfer printer like Summa's DC4, or tile prints from an Edge. Print on translucent material with opaque foils, except where the head lights are. Good Luck!
