$217 is what we pay, I guess we don't do the same amount of volume as you. There catalog that I have says $230. It is not much a of a discount but we get free shipping and they come every day because they have a warehouse here in town about 15 min up the road. Sorry, meant to quote Colorado...
  2. Inexpensive Air-Release Vinyl Options

3M-IJ35C from Grimco is $217 for a 54" roll. I would not use it on a vehicle, but for general flat applications it works.

thanks jhill. I will give this a try on our next one. :thankyou:
  4. My First Photo Tex Wall

Thanks Josh. You are saying that the wall itself needs to be painted darker. That makes sense now that i think about it. If the wall were darker and maybe the print had darker colors it would not be as bad. This was just the first one, I am sure there will be plenty more to try and figure it...
  5. My First Photo Tex Wall

I recently installed my first wall mural using Photo Tex. Man I love this stuff, it is so easy to install. The designer at the church sent me the artwork, I printed, frog juiced it, and did the install. Anyway, I was wondering what you guys do for the seams. I did a 1/4" overlap, but since...
  6. What do you use for email?

Thanks for all the replies. I am going to stick around after work and try to switch over to gmail for business. I just want to be able to see email on my iphone, or my computer at home, as well as work. As long as each has all of the emails that I have received and sent, I will be happy...
  7. What do you use for email?

I was wondering what everyone is using for their email service? We currently have a POP3 from our provider that has the server. We are using Windows Live Mail on Windows 7 machines. I am thinking about switching over to the free version of Google Apps so that everything is on the cloud, and...
  8. Corel X6 Extra Content

Get X6, I just found it in there the other day. We are doing a wrap on the IQ that is being donated by the Scion dealership to the school district. The killer is that the kids in the school district get to design the wrap, then we get to judge and install. I am hoping that we can steer the...

We have the same machine and the tech that set it up put our heat settings at: Pre: 92 Print: 94 Dry: 120 He said that it was a good setting. The printer is in the office with me. I try to keep the office around 70-72 degrees. I print bi directional (ink come out when the head goes left and...
  13. Mounting Channel Letters to Brick

We use Sign Fab all the time, they are great down there. We actually got a few sets of our letters in there new catalog.
  14. Material Roll Holders?

You can order then from the Roland store online, or from Wensco Sign Supply. I just ordered a set from Wensco because it was cheaper than from the Roland web site. On the packing slip I got the sku # is 1000003083 and they are called Flange Guides. I can't remember what they cost, but it is...
  15. Usual causes of head strikes, and avoid

I have the same machine as UCMJ22 (Roland XC-540). It only seems to happen to me when running banner material. I only use the two outside pinch rollers, so that the middle ones don't leave tracks. I also use the media clamps to hold the edges down. But it still seems to buckle on the edges...
  16. Vertical racks

I worked at Menards (Midwest Equivalent to Lowe's or Home Depot, for those who are not familiar) for many years, before getting into signs. We called them M-Divider Bars as well. As far as where to get them, I can not help with that part, sorry.
  17. Corel X6 Extra Content

I am sure there is something over here like that. I have looked into Pro Vehicle Outlines, still trying to convince the boss to spend the money to get it.
  18. Need help with Gerber GS15 plus connection

Just looked at mine, and it only has 3 pins as well. I am running 4.0 on a Win 7 64 bit. It took me a while on the phone with a Gerber tech to get it all running smooth. I would try and give them a call. It seems that you have it all set up correctly.
  19. Corel X6 Extra Content

All of the extra content that came with X6, and all of the other versions, are labeled with their numeric code. I was trying to find a vehicle template to check verses my measurements of the actual car, to see how close it would be, and if I could use the template that Corel has for the wrap...
