  1. Attaching HDU to Dibond

Yep, screw and glue with the Gorilla
  2. New website test

Thanks, its a Wordpress site actually with some additional PHP
  3. New website test

Would love opinions, we still do a lot of hand crafted carved and routed work but also UL listed electrical so wanted to shift to a more commercial looking identity. New Logo, New website....http://test.nwsigns.com/
  4. Battery powered LED Signage lighting

Well you can make it work but you will be changing batteries very often. You should run the LEDs from a 12vdc supply or battery and there are some small battery packs out there that may work. You can run it on as little as 9v for a short run. You need to do some math though and figure out how...
  5. Cooling AIR vs LIQUID?

Exair is what we have - love it. Amazing how cold it gets from simply running air through a vortex.
  6. Cooling AIR vs LIQUID?

Agreed, not needed on composites but for aluminum we went to an air cooler which is so much better than the mess from liquid cooled. It keeps the bit cool to the touch and works great.
  7. Ceiling mount sign brackets

Best bet is to weld up some aluminum brackets - easy if you have mig or tig capabilities or a local welder
  8. Husqvarna Shop layout...can it get any more boring!

Yeah, its not real exciting but is it effective? I think that too often we just want more satisfaction from a more technical or exciting sign. This looks very readable and gets a simple message across and speaks to the appropriate audience - whats the purpose of a sign again?
  9. Adhesive instead of welding?

We weld aluminum and use Lords every day - Lords is as strong as they claim and I would trust it like a weld any day. I tested it once on dibond and it peeled the face of the panel before letting go. Just make sure to follow the directions and clean properly - you need to squirt some out of the...
  10. Am I Nuts?

I sold my sign business 4 years ago which was self operating, well branded, lots of good equipment and client list - I got a good price but much less than you would want for all the work I put in building it (I started over with a home based shop and am much happie and make more money). My...
  11. I got a CNC ROUTER but...

Yes you can learn as you go but you will save a lot of time and materials by getting some training. Learning to get a good finish in the quickest time is the hard part
  12. SignFoam bonding 2 pieces together

really depends on what you intend to do with the seam afterwards. Epoxy, PB bond and gorilla glue are harder than the HDU itself so sanding across the seam leaves a bump but work well if your leaving it alone. If your carving or machining across the seam, expanding foam spray works well - needs...
  13. Glueing Dibond

Best to use angle aluminum to hold it together - along with Lords 406-19 or similar epoxy, stuff will not fail if used properly.
  14. Hello from a classroom just out of Seattle!

    Welcome from Redmond!
  15. reverse molding lightbox

You would need to make a custom cab from angle for square tube - weld a frame and then skin it.
  16. Constructing Lightbox Frame.

Its not likely to cause harm but its surprising how easy it is to create a short out and a fire or have the sign body not grounded and electrocute someone.
  17. If it sounds to good to be true

someone checked it out - http://www.scamadviser.com/is-heryantiprinter.com-safe.html
  18. VHB tape Fail

I prefer Lords adhesive or something similar - it will peel the skin off the Dibond before letting go.
  19. Some designs for great customers...

Refreshingly nice work, thanks for sharing them.
