Some of my best clients are brokers - or, something like that - Some call it Project Management. Either way, they send me lots of work and I get paid. Plus I get to do really cool stuff for high profile companies that I wouldn't normally get to do work for. No hate here for brokers. What I...
  7. Question about reducing waste when using the take-up system

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. BUT, man there's some silliness on this thread that I just don't understand. I have never once wasted 4'-5' of material for the take up roll on my Roland. Just tape it as it goes. I also don't pause in the middle of a print. That's just asking for a problem...

  19. What did i do wrong? (customer meeting)

Gino is right. Wait till tomorrow to start worrying about it. If he doesn't call than you may want to rethink your approach. I like the idea of meeting them at their workplace rather than a coffee shop too. Either way, no point in loosing sleep over a small job. If I had a nickel for every...
  20. Cutting laminated prints

1 pass should be fine. Always test cut. You want to make sure you're cutting through the vinyl and lightly scoring the backing paper. DON'T CUT THE BACKING PAPER!!! I had to do a very difficult install once that was cut by another company that cut to deep. It made a difficult job almost...
