I work on a 74s and a couple of 104s printers myself and that lifter in the maual seemed mostly like a pipe dream. Not enough room to get it behind mine even if I could get someone to spring for it.
Seiko doesn't make one but I just did a search online and here's an example:

Speling, cApitalizatIon and punc.tuation,issues are normally (but not always) an easy tip off. Especially if this came out of nowhere without any other communication..

We'll use IJ35-10 sometimes for mounting graphics to PVC or Gator for exhibit graphics. IJ180 for wall mural graphics or vehicles and signage when the customer is likely to reclaim materials when they update their graphics.
Another suggestion that I could throw in would be to try the other materials and write your own profile for them.
That would certainly keep you from being locked down to just one material supply...
On my Seikos, banding usually either signifies a clogged nozzle or a feed issue. After a material has been set up on the printer, graininess is usually feed for me and a slight adjustment normally takes care of it. If it is a new material and the job is a rush and I tried to slip it through on...
