Are you referring to the Cap Tops not sealing against the heads?? A picture sure would help.

Include a picture if possible. The old style pumps will fail over time as the tubing will move or swell slightly and get pinched by the internal white gears creating a split in the hose.

What media and Laminate is being used? Is the contour cut offset by 1/4" in one direction, or is the cut skewed slightly in both directions?

If you have not performed this before, I would recommend getting an experienced tech involved. Physical replacement of the head is relatively easy and straight forward... the adjustments/calibrations/head rank/etc is where it gets more detailed. IF... IF... you attempt to do this yourself...

Looks to me the head is too far gone to recover completely, even with new Roland OEM caps.

To get out of service mode, simply Power Off, and then back on. The SP-300 and 300v uses USB connection only.

Another thing to try is to simply disconnect the network connection, reboot, re-connect and check for updates again. Sometimes DNS be the problem.

The message "A connection with the server could not be established" refers to the Roland Update Server, not the printer... Reboot and check all network connections. Another tip, when performing VW Updates, I recommend updating the Application Updates only first... then the profiles.
