we pull down the first six inches of the backer from the top and fold back. you will also want to check to see if your panels have stretched or not. stretch is your biggest challenge with wall murals and that depends on the material used and the way you install it.

The only thing that worries me is the brackets you used might be a bit thin and can bend outwards dropping the entire roll. Instead of galvanized metal maybe use hardened plate steel.
