A shop would be better off subcontracting the work out. The employee wouldn't have much incentive and would most likely not develop any loyalty to you as an employer. They most likely would not perform at the level your customers require. It's like having a nice boat and putting crap fuel into it.

It depends on the substrate being printed. Clear or pigmented vinyl. Dark vinyl or light colored vinyl. All would need different amounts of white solvent ink in order for your graphic to have a good white point.

Is that a solvent printer? If so, you will have to make more than one pass to get an opaque white. There are no solvent inkjets white inks that are opaque without multiple passes.

heat and airflow will expedite drytime

it sounds like there may be some "extra" data or art in your file that is outside the boundaries of your original artboard or page size. If you can't find it you may have luck rasterizing and cropping a copy of your file. That could at least help to isolate the problem. Good Luck!

I just saw the pics you posted and the first thing I noticed is that the material is punched. I would recommend getting your wheels as far away from the holes as possible. If they ever ride on top of the hole pattern there will most likely be slippage. Another drawback of running that punched...
