  2. Got a heat press for free

Free is a pretty good price. See if you can haggle with him to get the price down some more! I'd take it as long as it works. Great for making shirts for you or your staff or just for fun. Might even be able to sell some to certain clients.

  5. Weeding digital print vinyl vs reg vinyl?

Sounds like you bought your machine from Pony. Haven't tried the LG yet and honestly I don't really want to. They're suppose to bring by a sample roll for me. I've been waiting about 2 weeks now. Definitely try turning the heat off before cutting. I'm sure you'll notice a big difference in...

  10. SP540V slow printing (head stops a few second each end)

Glad you figured it out. I was having the same issue. Tried to bypass the router but still had the same issue. Turns out Norton was hogging all the memory causing the info to get passed slowly from the comp to the printer. That could be part of your problem as well.
  11. Just how accurate should print/cut be?

  14. Tedious Quote Help

Why does the logo have to be layered? Does it have special colors like metallics or gold? If not, sub it out for printing. I wouldn't advise shipping your client pre-layered vinyl for install on a vehicle. You'd be better off shipping some bubble wrap so he could at least have fun with it...
  15. BannerPRO Hemming System

The actual hem that it makes is only about 1/4" wide.
  16. Do I need to transfer tape?

Here's what I would do depending on the vehicle and the stripe. I'd start by running some masking tape down the side of the vehicle. The bottom of the mask goes where the top of the stripe should go. The tape acts as a guide and it allows you to see if you're line is straight. Now line the...
  17. How beer saved the world.

“Well, you see, Norm, it’s like this. A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it’s the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of...

  19. input please

Depends. Do they want to be able to see through the windows with perf or do they just want the light to shine through? If it's the latter, you could use frosted vinyl or even a matt lam on the inside of the windows.
