    Nice link, thanks.
  2. Google Voice problem.

You can use Google Voice over SIP, skipping the line service entirely.
  3. Ready to hire a designer

You're going to have a hard time finding someone like this. Make sure you're really clear with the applicants that this really isn't a design job, it's a sign shop job that does some design. Otherwise you're going to burn through designers as they realize they're in a job that's not doing much...
  4. Need Billboard design feed back ASAP!!

I feel the opposite way. Web addresses are easier to remember (usually, should be anyway, if not--get a better address) and they can serve as specific content conversion funnels. Why just point it at your root url? Point it at a one page conversion funnel sales site, let it do the work...
  5. Google Voice problem.

Yep, many ISPs now are blocking VoIP. Should be illegal (monopolistic for one thing) but it's not and won't be until we can get legislation stating that ISPs must function as dumb pipes. Which at this rate, will never happen. Get used to it, more and more packet shaping and service blocking is...
  6. thunderbird

    Use Google Apps for Business.
  7. Put out to pasture...

What about turning your love of various sign crafts into art projects for specific people? Once you get into the swing of it the ideas will start flowing and the passion projects will multiply like crazy.
  8. Marriages Doubling Up

Encourage them both to elope by hinting constantly how much of a disaster a big family wedding will be. Continuously make asides about embarrassing things you're going to do during toasts, etc. Of course I've always found it crazy that families pay for weddings...my wife and I paid our own way...
  9. Need a new computer!!

Tell me about it, AI needs to be 64bit already and have GPU acceleration. It's crazy that it doesn't, the art board and raster limits drive me absolutely crazy.
  10. L25500 Condensation on Printheads

Shouldn't need to dehumidify at 30%. Turn up the fans and maybe even try pointing a floor fan at it to increase the air turbulence in the room. We use one off to the side of ours blowing across it, though we did that to move the hot air towards our HVAC intakes.
  11. Need a new computer!!

GPU makes a massive difference in PS, particularly if you run the 64bit version (as everyone should).
  12. credit score

Use is actually a positive to some extent. A fluxuation of 9 points is nothing to worry about and that's a great score regardless.
  13. Wave Accounting

Wave also has a payroll solution, it hasn't launched in the US yet but it will later this year and those of you in the north can use it now. http://wavepayroll.com/
  14. Recommendations for best lam for use with Big Squeegee

This man is correct, vertical seams are the way to go. Oracal 3651 + 210 overlam or Phototex. We've never had issues with 210 lam. We've also done 3951 + 290 overlam but that was for a nightclub environment. All that said, try out BigFish's lam if 210 is causing you grief.
  15. Need a new computer!!

i5's are great chips, I recommend them for everything but designers. Adobe does a really good job of taking advantage of the additional threads in Photoshop in particular.
  16. L25500 Condensation on Printheads

Try turning up the fans on all your profiles to get more airflow moving around the heads.
  17. Need a new computer!!

Get a Dell business line or Lenovo with an Intel i7, 12GB+ of RAM, and any decent gaming level video card. Windows 7 pro. Case closed.
  18. L25500 and unlaminated print

No idea, everything that goes outside gets laminated here except for banners and temporary yard signs. I'm guessing that's the case for most shops.
  19. Need a logo designed

Often they're stolen from known logo designers, ask Von Glitschka about that. If they're not stolen they include clip art or something else that prevents you from trademarking the logo anyway.
  20. Customer has a deposit on a logo but want's to go another route

Any written contract, as long as it's legal (doesn't say require first born children or payment in blood), is useful if you end up in small claims court. Use the AIGA Standard Agreement I linked above as a framework and look around the net for various designer contracts, they're all over the...
