Dale, I'd love to have a couple of the slitters you have. 99% of the time I'd want to use it to cut backing paper without separating it from vinyl. But maybe I'd use it to cut stripes, etc.
I tried someone else's suggestion of using an old knife/knifeholder, but could never get a consistent...
I've had good luck printing on GMI silver and gold ultra metallic. Because you aren't printing on white media the colors come out a little dark, so you have to adjust. If you want red you have to print orange, etc.
There was a company trying to sell me something almost identical to that when I opened my shop 14 years ago. That salesman and the Van Ladder salesman would call me at least once a week.

BTW, yesterday was Brother Day, apparently. At least my bro sent me a text yesterday morning wishing me Happy Brother Day. We used to be partners in the shop and spent 60+ hours a week together. Although he only lives 1/8-mile from me, now I only see him once or twice...
Just for ishes and giggles I emailed one of the few wholesale companies in my state that has a flatbed. I asked them to quote me their flatbed price for what this lady wanted me to do for $80 (minus the installation, of course).
I just got an email.
20 s/s 4'x8' = $113.72 each, $2,274.44 total...
Tater, I have you beat. A lady called today and asked if I could beat $80 each for 20-30 4'x8' 4 mm coro signs to put around a football field. She wanted 2-color "with maybe a few logos." The other shop apparently agreed to include grommets and guaranteed they would last 2 years. She couldn't...
I usually charge at least 3x to 4x my materials on odd jobs like this. And if that still sounds too low, I add more. If you say it is $20 in vinyl for each window, that'd be at least $60-80 per window. More if you use transfer tape, application fluid, etc.
For a solid week you guys have been generating severe storms and sending them our way. Enough is enough. I'll never complain about Canadians exporting their cold fronts again. Sub-freezing temps are a PITA, but they can't blow the roof off my house.
