lol try putting hay over it -- helps keep birds off and moisture in to grow --- or we have issues in our mulch with neighborhood varmets, go to Sams Club or Walmart and grab a big tub of Cayenne pepper. Sprinkle that around and there will be no bothers hehe Markus
