After doing all the fun file set up that's been mentioned in the above posts try this - Slow the print head down and set the printer to uni - directional. This will make a big difference in print quality especially on very tiny details.
He probably stole the ipod. I really hate those lazy a$$ good for nuthin crack heads.
Had my truck stolen in october. got it back 3 weeks later. Had 2 windows smashed out last night. I have nothing nice to say about crack heads.
I've got a roll of magnetic that actually prints nicely on my xc540. The big problem is tracking - especially if you try print cut. I stick to the vinyl on mag.
Seems like it would work but for added safety and a potentially cool look (provided the proper hardware is used), you could insert the screw into the sides of the foam core. I don't know, I'm a few beers into it so this may sound like a bad idea in the morning.
FYI - I've been playing with this and discovered that you do not have to have the sheet cut feature turned on. It still leaves a gap between rows but not as much.
Haha, I was watching that video while listening to greek black metal (mapofmetal.com) from another post. It was pretty sweet how the audio from that page sinked up to the video. Scary!
Yeah, like I said, I read about it a while back but i never needed to use it till today. My printer was still print/cutting the decals when I left for home. I'll have a nice pile of decals waiting for me when I get to the shop tomorrow. I have to put them on double sided poker chips. Fun...
I saw this on here a while back. I've been searching but I can't find it.
Basically, I read that there is a way to have versaworks print and cut a large quantities of decals. Here's the thing, this thread explained that there is an advanced setting that allows you to print/cut one row of...
I like the Mactac frost. It's the only thing that I use from them but it generally works pretty good. Takes a little practice to figure out how to apply it properly but it can be done. Plus, you can sometimes use heat to correct any stretch marks you might get in it. If it's a solid piece...
Ok, I'll add my disclaimer now. I am not responsible for broken glass or burned down building should you decide to follow my advice.
Gino - according to my math, you've had 8 years of good luck. Not bad. :)
Gino, I'm not kidding. I live in Canada and from what I know and see, it's pretty common practice in these parts. Like I said - just be careful. The key is to heat up the glass evenly and not burn down the building in the process. Although I've never broken a piece of glass by heating it...
You can pre-heat the glass with a heat gun or a torch. Just be careful not to break the glass. You'll also want to heat up the vinyl after it's applied. Use caution because your vinyl will be much more brittle than normal.
I do a lot of installs for other shops. No big deal but I always add a premium to install other peoples prints. There's always more BS involved than you anticipate so make sure to cover for that. A square foot cost plus travel should cover it and remember, do a good - no, great job and this...
