  1. Static Cling - Heavy Ink Coverage Problem

My best luck with static cling is to reverse print on clear cling and put a white vinyl backer on it. I have printed dash cards (they go inside your car windshield) on white cling however they always seem to leave ink residue behind when you remove them. The dash cards where printed on rite...

Not sure if they're superstitions but - - Don't touch my knife. if you do, you better not loose it. I love my knife - not sure why. I was pretty bummed out when I was lettering a boat and my favorite knife fell in the water. - If something goes wrong at the beginning of a job, I will...

I have a dedicated RIP station. It's only purpose is to run Versaworks and Rip files. It has always been connected to the internet via my router. A few weeks ago, I was having problems printing large files so I disconnect my comp from the internet and ran the either net cable directly to my...
  11. Double sided banner?

i start by making sure I've got lots of bleed and the vinyl is square to the printer. Print the first side centered. flip the vinyl over and line it up. Should come out fine. If you want to take it a step further, use a thumb tac to poke a whole on both corners of the first print. You will...
  12. 20' banner - uh oh print not to good in one spot

What's the viewing distance? Up close? Far away? Here's a little trick I learned from working in film. Stand back 10 feet and squint your eyes. Do you still see it? If not, It's probably good to go. If so, I 'd think about fixing it or reprinting it.
  13. Bumping Heads w/ the Internet

Fortunately, I don't come across this problem very often. BUT, if I did, i'd order some of the on-line crap just so I could hang it next to my own stuff. Then when some idiot comes in asking me to meat or beat the price I can easily say - Nope, not even gonna try, and here's why - then point...
  14. Shop Vehicle Critique

I totally understand if new wheels are outta the question. Trust me, I'd love to drive a vehicle that isn't 12 years old. So that settles it, you need to at least do a full wrap on that car. Whether or not you change the look is up to you. Best of luck, and again, I'm not trying to offend.
  15. Shop Vehicle Critique

KK, please don't take offense to what I'm about to say. You either need to get a new car OR at least wrap the entire car so it doesn't look like such a P.O.S. There, I said it. I'm sorry. But I do feel that if you want to appeal to a different crowd should think about it. A full wrap would...

  20. what action should i take?

First thing I would do is address the problem and explain to him that what you've done is normal industry standard stuff and people buy it all the time. If that doesn't please him, ask him what he thinks should be done to resolve the issue. Listen to what he says and "try" to accomadate -...
