  2. wait a minute thats my sign....

Wow. I had a "way more busy than usual" kind of day today so I didn't get any QT with S101. I've ben reading this since I got home and I just gotta say - AWESOME!!!! I have been sufficiently entertained. Now, back to my adult beverage....
  3. Graphix Unlimited Sign

As always, nice work. By the way, who's welding all those banners your gonna be selling now??? :)
  4. car in a parade....

I'd use vinyl and Wax. Wax the area of the car that gets the graphics. Wipe off the wax and apply the vinyl. The vinyl will stick and it will even conform to the shapes but it will come off without any hassle. Use Rain Ex if it's going on the glass. Mother's Carnuba Wax works great. Make...
  5. Printheads to replace or an heavy cleaning will do?

Black heads are usually the first to go although I don't have any experience with that particular printer.
  6. Another What Would You Do moment....

  7. just got the new Seal 54 EL laminator

Congrats on the new toy. If and when you need service, make sure you get Brian Gibson to take care of the Seal for you. He's a great tech and a great guy.
  8. Mojave Clear Ad

Mojave is a Catalina product. I don 't have any experience with the Clear ad but the sample looks nice. I've used a few of their vinyls. They print great (especially at high speed on my XC540). My only concern is that the adhesive can be rather aggressive so you have to consider what you're...
  9. Recommendations for a good printable matte vinyl?

Rite media econo matt. Prints great and it's almost 4mil thick so it's easy to apply and it come off pretty god too. Is that stuff even available in the States?
  10. Sign Survey

I'm no expert in this area but to me it sounds like a great opportunity to introduce your client to some new things. IE - Floor Graphics, wall graphics, backlit sign on one or several of the walls, clip frames that can easily be changed over to reflect the current sale, etc. Of course, I don't...
  11. Estimate is only monthly?

Chris, is GraphixCALC available for Mac? If not, are there any plans to make it available?
  12. Dry Erase in Canada

Thanks for all the help guys. I'm still waiting for the quote to be approved but it looks like I'll be going with ND. The price is right plus I'll have some leftover material for later use. Cheers D
  13. Dry Erase in Canada

Just got off the phone with ND. Gabagoo, you are correct, it's cheap compared to the cost of Proveer's vinyl. Plus, now all I have to do is print the graphics, apply lam and voila. The vinyl route would involve a bunch more work.
  14. Dry Erase in Canada

Can't say that I'm familiar with TCT or Express.
  15. Dry Erase in Canada

I have a client that wants a dry erase sandwich board. I know there's dry erase vinyl and lam but I've never used it before so I have no idea what to expect. Proveer sells the vinyl by the yard but I hear that it doesn't work so good. A few places sell the lam by the roll but it's pretty...
  16. Countertop protector?

i think it's tempered but I could be wrong . It's about 1/4" thick. The table has been around longer than me so it's seen plenty of use. There are some little scratches in it but they're nothing to worry about. Seems to only scratch with a fresh blade and lots of pressure. Once the blade...
  17. Countertop protector?

    Glass. Works great.
  18. Latest Install - Ceiling Graphics

Very cool. My installer would kill me if I sent him to do something like that.
  19. Is this good for the Roland

    Dude, don't print/cut banner material.
  20. thinking of jumping off the mutoh boat

I agree with artbot. I miss the days of not getting any work done because I'm knee deep in ink, tools, parts, STRESS and dirty rags. It's kinda boring when all you have to do is hit print and get good results almost every time. No really, I don't know squat about Mutoh but I do like my...
