Call 3M. They have tested a number of products on the newer car windows and will be able to recommend a product to remove the coatings from the glass. They mentioned the problem in a class I took, but for the life of me I can't remember their recommendations.
From what you've listed that you need to ship it looks like you need a bunch of 18 x 24" boxes than can be combined to create a 24 x 36, or easily cut down to 12 x 24"
UHaul sells mirror boxes that can be combined to ship larger flat products. Maybe grab a couple of them and see how they fit...
Wikipedia has a nice little explanation of vector art on their site.
I just email the link to my clients if I get the old "what's a vector?" reply.
If they're at my office I just show them on the computer. Blow up a jpeg to 600% in photoshop and then blow up a vector @ 1800%.
I spend about $50 a month and it more than pays for itself.
You won't have the phones ringing off the hook, but if you research your keywords and target area you'll find it's a good ROI.
Buy a new JV33 for the project and if business slows when it's complete then sell it.
You could have the second machine running just that project and save yourself the late nights. 3 shifts a day for 7-10 days is only one shift a day for an extra machine with a ton of extra time left should you...
Two things to try before a new head.
Clean the encoder strip (free)
Replace the dampers (you'd do this when changing a head anyhow).
Is it doing it across all medias or just one? If it's just the one you're probably looking at a media issue instead.
Unless the original post had been edited by the time I read it, I thought he made it quite clear he was selling licensed versions.
No need for calling someone an idiot, especially if it's because you can't comprehend what they wrote.
Coffee (double sugar, single cream).
Beer (Bowen Island Blond, Shaftsbury Winter Ale, Sleemans Honey Brown).
Whiskey (By the time I get to Whiskey I really don't care, just make it a double).
The press is one thing. Then you need to be able to create the embossing, foiling and cutting dies.
$150 would be the just the small visible tip of a large iceberg cost wise.
I would expect this to be the reasoning for this rule being put into effect. I see many farmers in my area that have parked abandoned trucks with ads on them at the side of the highway. It's unsightly and is taking advantage of the gray area that vehicle wraps create in signage regulations.
It's an optically clear adhesive applied over a double stacked set of backlit panels being reverse applied to a very rigid clear substrate.
There's no real flex in either the media or the substrate. It's no problem working with the adhesive when I dry laminate the two pieces of backlit together...
Thanks guys. Because this adhesive is being placed over the printed surface and the plexi acts as basically a 3/8" clear laminate (which looks awesome when it works), the hinge methods are out of the question as they leave visible lines behind on the image. The media being mounted is also a...
Aaaaargh!
I've been struggling with some small backlit panels that require a wet reverse mount to 3/8" Lexan as the substrate's been cut to size already.
I've been trying the water and drop of soap method, but it's not going very well for some reason. No matter how much I squeegee the water...
