Color management requires an input profile. Say like an sRGB, although the input profile can be CMYK as well. It then requires an output or media profile.
It's how the colors transform between the input and output profile that creates the magic. Toss one of them out and you might as well not be...
Yes you do.
Always.
Otherwise the file will default to whatever you have specified as your default input profile. This can mess with your colors rather severely if you don't.
The CMYK profiles for Sheetfed and Web Offset Printers are much smaller than what can be achieved on inkjet printers.
Working in CMYK using the existing profiles in photoshop results in a smaller available gamut.
The press profiles are based off of SWOP standard inks. We use much brighter...
Will you get acceptable panel registration at 38' lengths?
How upset will you be if you ruin a 38' laminated panel during install?
I'd go vertical. Way more wiggle room if something goes wrong.
Looking for a trade printer in Canada that can handle a couple of billboards for a customer of mine.
Can anybody recommend a grand format printer in Canada that can provide sizes in the 10+ ft range?
Be wary about the magicjack.
Mine worked great for the first few weeks and then the service fell off dramatically. It became unusable after 6 weeks it was so bad. Good luck trying to get any tech support or reaching someone for actual assistance.
Now skype on the other hand has been working...
When I linearize canvas I will read the strip a few times and average the results. This reduces the impact that any highlights or shadows from the textured surface will have on the results. I've profiled a lot of canvas over the years and always had very good results. I can't see any reason why...
If your ink limits seem to be fine then re-profile the media.
The ink limits say how much ink can flow. The linearization measures the flow and adjusts it. You adjust ink limits to reduce over inking a sheet. You linearize to make sure you're going to get a 50% cyan when you ask for a 50% cyan...
Eras and Elan are the only two fonts in my system with that style of "a".
Eras is relatively close, but doesn't fit exactly. If you do find out what it is let me know. I do like the font.
Adjust your ink limits to lay down more ink and redo the lin file. It's telling you that your primaries are not saturated enough compared to the previous lin file.
It's either that or redo the profile based off the new linearization.
