It's accounting for the white point of the media. Use absolute colorimetric and it adds no cyan. Perceptual, Relative and Saturation Intents will all account for the white point of the media and adjust the color to maintain a neutral gray through to the white point. Absolute expects the white...
Designing to the output profile ties that file to a specific media and inkset. What about files that come in or go out to other printers and agencies?
Design in RGB and softproof to the output profile. Let the RIP do the work and maximize the gamut. If your RGB conversions are not accurately...
Well you could buy some bulk ink bottles and when you have enough to fill an empty cartridge you could try it out.
I've been thinking about scavenging the remaining ink in my carts just to have around for doing little touch ups. I don't have the volume to fill an entire cartridge though. Nor...
I use RGB wherever I can. Maximizes the gamut. You can softproof in photoshop/illy to make sure the image won't do anything funky like start stepping in the graduations.
We adopted that workflow when we started doing art reproductions. Now whenever I call up an old file it will only look...
Did you happen to upgrade the firmware between now and the last time you installed a head. Mimaki may have closed a loophole with the regular DX5 heads and switched to the same head type as the JV5.
In illustrator you can find a menu item called glyphs that will display all the alternate characters and let's you double click on them to insert them into your text block.
Brian's a pretty good dude on here. I doubt he sets company policy. He's contacted me in private to thank me for some of the nice things I've said about wasatch in the past on here. He's probably pissed now though. Funny since I'm also pretty sure it was him that was calling my honesty into...
Sacrificing daytime viewing quality to get better backlit viewing isn't much of a solution.

The Remington stuff is very glossy as well. Double polished. It has a slight blue tint to the laminate compared to a warm tint you'd get with the Convex lam.
Remington is also coming out with a hi-bond base material. They sent me a sample and it seems to perform pretty well so far, but it's not...
Contact your local 3M dealer. I attended the same class last year in Edmonton through ND graphics.
It's worth the time if you're a newbie to the wrap world.
Exactamundo sir.
The little rectangular things. Preferably weatherproof.
Looking for either a vinyl cover or a poly bag that can be closed at one end to seal it.
You guys (101'ers) tend to have some great supplier connections. So rather than just google it, I figured I'd see if there's...
I purchased my Softrip about two years ago. I spoke with sales reps and right down the engineers and programmers to confirm that I could use a custom inkset (CMYKLcLmOG) in my JV33. I was told it could and when it arrived it could not.
Wasatch called me a liar when I asked why the feature I...
Pantone Process Yellow is based off of SWOP process ink standards.
Inkjet pigments are brighter and more vibrant than their SWOP counterparts. It adds magenta to dirty up the yellow to match the SWOP pigmentation.
You can convert your document to the same icc profile that you're using for...
Force yourself to stick to more regular hours and take regular vacations.
Don't let your job/profession become your life. It immensely hard to do, but the biggest benefit is fighting off the burnout that we get from working too hard for too long with too few breaks.
