Having been exactly where you are now, I had two choices;
1. take it to someone who knows exactly what to do
2. buy another computer with the OS already loaded.
Strangely enough both are pretty close in cost. Since XP will only use about 3 gig of ram you don't have to get a big expensive...
I am intrigued by how many people start a business without doing a basic calculation that will tell them if the business has a hope of supporting them.
With the new employment figures showing most of the new jobs in North America are "self employed" I wonder how many of these are in signs...
it's a shame the distributor doesn't chase down bad batches before they are used/laminated/installed.
and of course your "warranty" just covers replacing the roll.
looks like that used a lot of ink too.
if its just the cost of the takeup, make your own. $5.
Since the design computers are in the print room our printer almost never prints alone. Someone just gives the tube a wind every few minutes.
Not as good as a full OEM reel, but it works.
I'm thinking this is a grey market.
We have done 1-offs for a fan of a team, but would never create it as a product.
the short of it is a massive breach of copyright.
The licencing for things like team logos is complicated, expensive and therefore protected by teams of lawyers.
have you tried restarting the whole outfit?
I know its a little obvious, but a 20 minute sleep seems to help reset.
I would be interested in how to do a factory reset on a VP, but I'm still looking for the ledgendary service manual.
Seems a lot of people are charging based on just materials and not time.
The solution is clear, get a $100,000 UV flat bed and churn them out at cost until all the signmakers in your area are gone, then jack up your prices. (don't forget to turn out thousands of bandit signs saying "banner $1...
It depends on time.
If there isn't any rush I print the highest, Doesn't really cost more. Even though the only person who will see it close before it goes up is the customer...Thats sort of the point, to wow the customer.
Of course when I'm rushed, standard.
And it's likely to get worse before it gets better. With the sub 20k solvent printer and lots of newly unemployed people... "Darn it, I'm gonna open me a Sign Shop!"
and a whole demographic of people hitting the (I'm going to be my own boss) age.
At the same time you have this biting recession...
is this when you have printed the print and cut crop marks or when you forgot to print them?
I have printed laminated then cut many times with no problem.
