  1. Career choice stress

Just want to repeat that down economies are the very best time to be an entrepreneur. Access to venture capital is limited but your dollar buys so much more. Many of the businesses (empires) we consider "blue chip" started in down economies. p.s. Working with vinyl is not a career. Signage is a...
  2. Colour variations on L25500

The on board spectrophotometer is only used for factory calibration essentially. Haven't noticed this issue at all, definitely less variation with our L25500 than we had with our Mimaki JV3. What rip are you using? Did you just reprint the already ripped file the next day, or did you re-rip...
  3. Fabric or canvas on l25500

HP has a canvas specifically for the L25500 and it's really nice.
  4. l25500 bait and switch

There's also at least one generic on the market to keep prices competitive. I don't see that happening. By the time your scenario theoretically happens the tech and inks will have changed anyway.
  5. Adobe's new pricing strategy

If you're a printer you should always be at the latest version of Adobe CS, full stop. Annoying customers by making them save down is how you lose customers. Print is way too competitive to risk hassling people over something like that.
  6. Verizon Droid Phones...Which One to get?

What do you mean hard reset? Backup everything using Titanium Backup if you're talking about reinstalling the OS for some bizarre reason. You can even set it to automatically backup to Dropbox.
  7. WOW, as in WOW, ever have a gun pulled during a job interview????

What the hell? Why does anyone live in the south. :omg2:
  8. Toyota Concept Car with Changeable Electronic Wrap / Wrap Future?

What's sad is that while the idea is kind of neat the execution is terrible. Looks like someone just projecting onto the side of a car, not integrated into the body at all. Plus the concept body itself is really really ugly. Whole thing looks rushed.
  9. Fun with Vectorization

Lots of reasonable responses in this thread. Gold stars all around.
  10. Getting our new site ready for 2012.

Orman Clark makes nice themes but I agree with Dan that you need to bring more personality to the copy. Don't be afraid of dressing up the copy area with different weights and emphasis. Definitely approach the copy with the mindset Dan has suggested, that of what you can do for the viewer. I'd...
  11. Anyone From Michigan know about this?

Free real estate is always a scam. An old one too.
  12. Windows 7 "User Control Account" settings

Do you use Spybot S&D immunizations? They can cause a problem with IE on occasion.
  13. Sign Business trends

End of October/Early November was really slow but we got slammed this week and it's enough work to keep us going full production into December.
  14. Windows 7 "User Control Account" settings

Try running IE9 in no addons mode to see if that makes a difference. Usually these types of problems are related to some addon.
  15. How about that TIM TEBOW?

The spread is junk, your defensive line is fantastic. Pats don't have a great defense so that's not a fantastic test either. The test will be next year after coaches have time to put together packages for it. What I don't get is the Broncos do NOTHING for 57 minutes and then suddenly the Jets...
  16. Tweaker Customer.

Rule #1 of art: if someone says it's not art it's probably art. What does "pulled a wanker" mean in this context? Some dude makes something in his spare time that he likes and that's an affront to you how exactly...
  17. google +

If you don't understand Twitter (still?) you probably won't get why G+ is great. Despite that any small business needs to be concerned with their SERPs and Google Places ranking and G+ activity is a another good way to influence both.
  18. How about that TIM TEBOW?

Remember when the Dolphins used the wildcat successfully for like half a season? This is the same thing. Teams will realize all they have to do is go man on the receivers with one safety over the top and bring the other safety down to spy on Tebow along with the MLB(s) and this nonsense will...
  19. google +

So by mainstream you mean "your friends". When I think mainstream I think companies and people with large amounts of network authority. G+ is more than a network for close friends, it's not a replication of Facebook. It's closer to Twitter than Facebook but with Facebook-like capabilities mixed...
  20. Windows 7 "User Control Account" settings

I use UAC at the third to the top setting (Default) and have never once been prompted by something that didn't make sense to see a prompt for. I use Chome for most browsing, Firefox for a few specific tools but IE9 is a fine browser. IE8 and below are not.
