Thanks Techman & iSign, you are correct in saying there are many others providing the same service, you only have to Google "Dongle emulator" and it will come up with 169,000 hits.

I haven't offered him anything, he asked a question and I posted an answer. If he chooses to go down that path, it is entirely up to him, he's a big boy and can make that decision for himself. ....I personally wouldn't be sending my Dongle anywhere.

Did you work it out? Was it the file that was the problem or cutter?

Are you cutting this in 2 long panels? Check the "overlap" if it's fairly high it will look like its not meeting up. ie if the overlap is set at 3/4" ...you have to overlap by 3/4'', if you just butt the two together they will be way out. Otherwise not sure.

Try and check the "Enable Drivers Option" box and then go down to Pitch size and try 0.025 and see how far that closes the gap as I'm not sure of the "Pitch" on your blade....,My Roland is 0.025. This area allows you to change downforce, speed etc as well. Cheers Gary

Have you worked out your cutting problemo yet? You said you tried to change the offset, but did the changes save or did they default? In you program setup, it may be called something else other than overcut.....here's a screen shot of another program which just calls it "close" and one of Vinyl...

DRY. Er, why would you need to do layering wet? it's no different to doing the first layer. Also whats classed as a DYIer?

This IS a OFFSET problem so see if your software has OVERCUT, if not check the cutter's menu and keep changing the offset until it closes. Or do both..... It has nothing to do with anything else. It is where the blade starts its cut and finishes just short of the start point. Also, aftermarket...

Totally agree, my Roland done the same when I used aftermarket blades because they had a different offset, changed offset.....problem fixed.

Yep, as stated above, especially if they have changed to an aftermarket blade, which often have a different offset. Wrong offset will leave a small uncut area from where it starts the cut to where it ends. Also some cut programs have an "overcut" function which will close the cut. Rolands have a...
