The additional rollers will help with long tracking and back and forth movement. The expense however is a bit high. Usually the additional rollers are sold for use on thicker media or vinyls/products with mylar liners. Two rollers with these materials can slip occassionally.

What version of Flexi? Give us some details on the computer as well.... Processor, RAM, HDD Space, Windows Version....

Shut down the computer and unplug the HP printer from the USB Port. Start up the PC and try again. Do you have the Roland SP-300V listed in your Printers Folder? If not, this may be the communication error cause.

Two ways to check the head would be the bi-di test and the ink fill test pattern. If you notice overspray on one color, chances are you may need a new head. Have your local tech pull a Peck Report to get the shotcounts and see if any of your heads are close to life expectancy. If you do...

The SP-300V will work on Windows 7 with Versaworks. Have you tried installing the XP driver? Link

You need to run the Online Update for Versaworks. Setup your preferences to grab Updates & Profiles for 'only your model' printer. START>PROGRAMS>ROLAND VERSAWORKS>ONLINE UPDATE

Sounds like the home lock position may have been moved. This could also throw the limit sensor error. Recommend a service tech make a visit if possible. A few fine adjustments may need to be done to move the physical position of the head carriage lock unit.
