What part of Florida? As for Roland, SP-540i lists at $19k and the VS-540 at $24k. You might want to consider the NEW Roland RE-640 and bundle with a cutter.

Did you resolve the issue you were experiencing? I would like to know more about your setup; printer, computer, connection type, direct connect to printer with crossover or via network switch/router? Sounds very much like a network drop due to connection method or hardware in use.
