  1. New sign for my shop...finally

Paint the building and put in some nice landscaping while you're at it, looks like a generic storage rental box.
  2. General Lee

Technically that design is still under copyright but there are a million of them on the road, so the IP must not be pursued very strongly.
  3. Wireless Network Bridge

Are they both actually functioning as routers, not just as access points? That'd be extremely odd, it would mean you have two internet connections (two different ISP connections).
  4. Professional Development...What do you do?

You may find some value in entering that list into and using Goodreads, also possibly the Amazon Bookshelf app in LinkedIn. I've found that listing and reviewing books helps build credibility and builds your personal brand both as a professional and as a human being, which is just as important.
  5. Attention HP l25500 owners!

All that said we did same day service on a few hundred coro signs for an event yesterday (that was happening that afternoon). Couldn't do that with our JV3.
  6. Attention HP l25500 owners!

I haven't tried it yet but Museo, makers of very very good artist inkjet papers, have profiles available for the HP L25500 on a good number of their papers: http://www.museofineart.com/index.php/icc-profiles/ That said the color gamut isn't even close to a Canon iPF or Epson Aqueous--CMYKLcLm...
  7. Need a Mac...

This, any designer should be able to work on either platform. The differences are tiny.
  8. Mud flaps

If the logo is one or two color you could maybe get away with cutting some stencils and spray painting it with that spray paint made to bond with rubber/plastic.
  9. Attention HP l25500 owners!

Make your own. Use the media's 600dpi profile, clone it, set it to 1200dpi and recalibrate/ink limit.
  10. HP L25500 Printing

Yeah if you're printing ICC off with a color managed file...you'll get flat results. Our HP is doing well with blacks both at 100% K only and with the rich black we use on the JV3 (40/35/35/100). Printed a K-only grayscale banner the other day on POS PRO™+ 200 Polyester Film with the HP and it...
  11. How do you find a graphics position in 2011?

I play it the same way basically: FB fully private (limited friends list, barely use it really...), Twitter public, LinkedIn public, Google+ a mix of both (thanks to circles...), etc. Curating your personal brand is important always but doubly so if you're a job seeker. On a side note, the...
  12. dsl or cable?

OP, stop using an ISP based email address. Problem solved. Use gmail at the very least. If you use it for business, buy a domain/hosting and use that. Using a non-branded email address is like screaming I'M OLD THE INTERNET SCARES ME. :thumb:
  13. Install and bad inks

Did she try wiping down the sensor with a bit of alcohol? This is common problem on any cart-fed printer. The Triangle carts we use on our JV3 are notorious for it. Sucks that it happened during your install though.
  14. Esoteric Layout ?!

    Try the font Novella
  15. GS6000 Color profiling

Assuming you're properly profiled all I can guess is lower your ink restrictions. What RIP? (x3)
  16. Corel x4 Changing ALL of one color at a time

So much easier in Illustrator ;).
  17. Copyright infringment/ and or Fair Use?

You don't want to say they used parody as that IS a protected right.
  18. How bout dem Ravens!

    Was? Should be full-time embarrassment.
  19. Vinyl graphics over bumper strip on car

Logo looks like that juggalo clown with a hatchet logo, what is it supposed to be? I like the playful placement of the graphics.
  20. Caldera RIP

Caldera will run on any linux distro but the distro they rolled and give you is just Ubuntu modified slightly, very easy to use. Colorado, any chance you can do some video capture of the workflow? I tried the Caldera demo but wasn't all that impressed, seemed really clumbsy...but it was only a...
