  1. Do I need to transfer tape?

I've done those ford vans with an almost identical blue stripe about the same width. I used transfer tape and was able to follow that curve with just a little effort, using a straight-cut stripe. 3M Vinyl, no air release.

  3. Okay... Who took my straight edge?

Lost a fairly big down payment check once.(almost 2 grand). Finally turned up about 10 days later in a spiral notebook I use for going out on bids, etc. I was sweating bullets and did NOT want to have to call the custy back and beg them to stop payment/re-issue.
  4. How much for that wrap?!?!?

My bet is that Weasle is right in saying that this guy was only using the term "wrap" when he should have been asking for pricing on lettering. I get that all the time now...I first clarify wheter they actually want to cover every square inch of the surface with a photo-like print or if they are...
  5. When to pay commission?

Perhaps a higher commission rate for initially landing the client and then a smaller one for all future orders? Or maybe even split the commission on the future orders between the original salesperson and whomever is currently handling that client.
  6. vinyl failure on glass - second time

Gotta be something with the glass. I'm having the same problem on one of 2 trucks I originally lettered on the same day and prepped both the same as I always did. The back window on the Tahoe started peeling soon so I went back out and really cleaned it well with several different steps. It's...
  7. Did anyone ever get the "square"

Yep...right at that moment when they ask you how far out you are or how long will it take to get the job done, you can pull out your little swiper and tell them that you take jobs in the order that you receive down payments and they can get next in line, right now if they want!
  8. Did anyone ever get the "square"

Looks like the intuit plan supports the Blackberry Storm 9530 but I have the newer Storm, model 9550. Looks the same but wonder if it would work? Sure would be nice for encouraging down payments and sealing the deal while out on the bid! I used one of those Squares to pay for a repair service I...

  20. buying artwork

If it's a legit artwork site then I believe that if you fully purchase that image at the highest level, then it SHOULD be removed from any further circulation...? Don't do something shady now just because it's easy. It can and just might come back to cost you a great deal more in the end!
