  2. A Respected Member Could Use Some Help

You need it more than I do so there you go. Here's a bump and hopes that some of the heavy stuff can soon be lifted from your chest. :toasting:
  3. Sign for Signs

That would really be cool if you could make it look like it was spinning around like a top but catch the one crisp in-focus frame as you have it displayed now.
  4. A Beautiful Death

Wow. That's a lot to be dealing with all at once. My heart goes out to you and your family.
  5. Weeding 101 on Signs 101

I've used a heat gun to warm up the vinyl after it's cut and then let it cool down/shrink just a bit.

  7. what would you pay for this line drawing

There you go! Keep showing off your great work as you did here and sooner than you know it, you WILL be in greater demand for the high-end stuff like that. You should (if you don't already) devote one page of your website specifically to the higher-end stuff and make sure to include lots of...
  8. what would you pay for this line drawing

$100 seems too cheap to me. Of course, it would take me a month to accomplish what you did (and yours would still be way better). But that doesn't mean your fees should drop just because you are faster and better either. Your drawing is excellent, by the way! I'd say $150.00 would be more than...
  9. Streaming Live Video From My Shop

I screw off way too much to stream anything worth while. Lately, all the live stream would show is me squeegeeing another 50 gallons of melted snow and ice off my shop floor from every vehicle I pull in....argghhh! I've had it with this crap! Next place will have a dedicated thaw-out bay, I think.
  10. Client emails that make you crazy!

Me too! Also the ones who start a new message every time rather than reply with the previous exchange of text. Then you lose the written trail of proof about who said what. So I usually follow-up the phone conversation with another email confirming what was just talked about. :banghead:
  11. Love working Saturday mornings..ahhh so peaceful

Gene, you are correct! - Now don't go a stealin' my account! LOL I worked as high-end collision repair & paint tech for them for 11 years prior to getting into the graphics thing. Now I gotta know who your sis-in-law is. I prob know her! And yes, I do want to stop by your shop still, just...
  12. Love working Saturday mornings..ahhh so peaceful

Yes, it's very peaceful indeed. Just finishing up some loose ends on this wrap job.
  13. Your criteria for firing a customer

I have my limits and a customer who thinks THEIR time is oh so much more valuable than MY time is one of my peeves. I fired such a customer last year and he attempted to come crawling back several months later with an email about how he thought I was so great and he was really in a pinch and...

  17. patrol boats

Polypropylene is the actual material. I did 13 of those boats 2 Summers ago for a mapping company. If it is that material indeed, you need to use an adhesion promoter first and are also supposed to flame treat the area before the adhesion promoter is applied in order to help get the mold release...
  18. Client emails that make your day! :)

    LOL Rick!
  19. Client emails that make your day! :)

I did some very basic graphics on a small enclosed trailer last Summer. The guy came to pick it up and loved it...a LOT. As he walked around it and gazed with love in his eyes, he said "Oh man....I just...just want to......F**k it! Yea baby!!!" I was..speechless, which seldom happens.
  20. Client emails that make your day! :)

He probably specializes in breast implants, and uses that same line after every surgery is complete. :clapping:
