Highly doubt it's the printer -- we have a JV3, not a JV33, but I routinely print files in excess of 4GB without issue using Onyx ProductionHouse. Could be Wasatch or the windows spool. Does Wasatch have somewhere you can adjust how much is prebuffered to the machine?
Have you updated all your...
Not a great idea for copyright reasons (bad habit to use google images for source images -- fine for inspiration, not for actual artwork as 99.9% of them aren't cleared for public commercial use).
The things you were calling pages that you can draw all over and they get numbers are artboards. As I've been saying all along...boy this is a dumb argument.

Pages don't exist until the output...
The Lambo was hand done yeah, the Fellers truck is a bunch of vectors carefully played with to create a similar feel (but very different in reality).
Check out GoMedia, they probably have a few vector packs that would be useful for a project like this. You'd still be looking at a few days...
Yeah well you already got our opinions. I never like anything I've done once it's done. Go back to a design you've finished even two weeks earlier and odds are you'll hate it. That's one of the designer curses.
These are becoming specialty, bulk products that you can't really compete with on price alone because there are shops that do nothing else.
We compete with superior design, full color, short-run, local focus. Medium to large run? Forget it, we know we aren't competitive and that's fine. Some...
Wait are you guys calling the artboard a page and the pasteboard an artboard? In Illustrator the artboard is an area with a defined size, shows as a black line filled with white, outside of that is light grey, that's the pasteboard. You can have up to 100 artboards of any size on a pasteboard...
A graphic designer who doesn't understand pantone?!?! :frustrated:
What are they teaching you up north? The woman was right, many pantones are outside of CMYK gamut. This is seriously first year design stuff. First month maybe.
At there very least you should be attached at the hip to the...
You really have to stop thinking in Pages for Illustrator. You're unclear in what you are requesting -- how can an artboard be both 8.5x11 and as large as possible?
Also why are you doing so much 8.5x11 work in Illustrator? If you're using it for lots of letter sized page layout you really...
Agreed on second from the left, it's the only one that looks professional. The rest are pretty weak though I do agree that the far right could work if the truck had a cap and the form was polished a bit more. Always good to show the widget.
If you want to be a graphic designer, yes, if you want to be a sign person, no--there are very few really good designers working in the "sign" field and even less jobs as much of the industry really doesn't care about good design. You won't learn anything about signs in a 4 year design program...
